What an incredible week! It was fantastic to reconnect with our friends at ALPMA - the many delegates, speakers, LEAP, Smokeball, ActionStep, Clio, BoabIT, SmarterDrafter, RedRain, Macquarie Bank, InfoTrack and many more. The enthusiasm and commitment to advancing in our field was truly inspiring. We are so privileged to be a part of the insightful discussions and the chance to explore new ideas together. A big thank you from everyone at LAPM for making this event so valuable for law firms and all in the industry. We are excited to build on these connections and collaborate closely to drive meaningful change. Here’s to many more successful projects ahead! #ALPMA2024 #LawFirms #LegalTech

This is a wonderful day - to see this post from our Makayla. The idea that started several years ago after spending many years in legal practice management and then some time in legal tech was to help law firms reach their goals in a practical way so that not only would they have the best tech systems available to them (LEAP), they could then focus on the law as we would assist them with everything finance, workflow, computing, compliance and staff related - they could leave the numbers to us. This has worked well as lawyers agree that they should not be allowed to do finances and vice versa 🤣 We had no idea so many firms needed our help at that stage and we have never advertised our services directly but we now know how much we can help the industry. To have the demand from small to large firms and now a team that can achieve this for firms that each have different needs is so rewarding. We have a proven system after the trials and efforts of our dedicated team persevering to achieve best practice and outcomes which are the years of hard work Makayla has mentioned. We are very excited to be offering the full range of LAPM services shortly, including our partnership with Macquarie Bank and others for the benefit of law firms and their equity holders.

The first day standing in our new office… A true reflection of our hard work and dedication. This milestone feels long overdue and very well deserved, as our team grows and as we impart more knowledge, I’m so excited to think about what lies ahead. Ourselves and the handcrafted team that we have nurtured are making a meaningful and significant difference in transforming and streamlining firms, and I couldn’t be more proud of what we’ve accomplished together. Here’s to the next chapter and the future of LAPM! Lana Lake Paddy Hawkins Dr. Robert Fleck

A reminder to keep up to date with Law Society rules if you operate a law firm. I came across a large Queensland firm today that had a full time employee doing one task - checking whether disbursements had been paid prior to performing their daily trust to office transfer which in most practice management systems is a manual process. Any invoices that included an unpaid disbursement were excluded from the transfer. The firm were not aware of the relevant Law Society rules that changed 18 months ago which would have saved this firm from having a full time employee doing this one task. I expect both the employee that was performing the task and the manager who were in the room at the time of finding this out from me won’t sleep tonight. #practicemanagement https://lnkd.in/g_A_M2Nx
