Here's a tip for the current environment. If anyone says they have the answer, it'll be cheap, and no problem at all to implement: FIRE THEM straight away. Make sure nobody in your organisation sees them again, and tell the boss's gatekeepers to keep them out. Every single successful project I have seen has been the result of protracted trench warfare between the project team, senior management going in every direction, well meaning but unhelpful Boards, investors with changing demands and bankers with strict boundaries. Nothing is ever easy. Enjoy!
