For many years, private market instruments have been widely used in institutional portfolios with the aim of reducing volatility while delivering consistent, long term performance. In more recent years, private markets have become more accessible to high net worth individuals, allowing them to invest in private assets and take advantage of their benefits. Last week, LGT Crestone hosted guests at Private Markets Forums held in Brisbane, Melbourne and Sydney. The aim of the events were to educate clients, prospects and advisers about the current environment, opportunities and risks across private markets asset classes, particularly private equity and credit. Last week, LGT Crestone staff attended the Yalari Brisbane Gala Dinner. Since 2005, Yalari has been providing Indigenous children from regional and remote communities across Australia the opportunity to receive a full boarding school scholarship for their entire secondary education. This week, LGT Crestone staff spent time volunteering at Ready Set, a charity helping those who have faced vulnerability and disadvantage. Ready Set supports them on their journey back to employment - preparing these individuals for job interviews by providing clothing, make up and interview coaching.     The team were put to work, helping organise makeup kits for future customers, following a huge donation from Nude by Nature. We also spent time organising shoes, so they were in order of size and colour, easy to find when a client needed a pair. It was a fantastic morning and very rewarding to spend time giving back to the community in a meaningful way. #lgtcrestonelife
