We were delighted to bring the LBP team together to celebrate Robert Lipman's appointment as non-executive chairman, and his influence and leadership that has shaped the firm. At the event, we formally opened our new office with founders Robert and our Managing Partner, Paul Burgon cutting the ribbon to usher in our next chapter.

Led by an experienced team of professionals from large global investment and asset management firms, the firm was established more than 20 years ago and draws from its institutional heritage. Formerly operating as the wealth management division of Investec Private Bank, our founders Robert Lipman and Paul Burgon acquired the business in 2011 and in 2015 renamed it Lipman Burgon & Partners. As a true boutique wealth advisory business, we are unhindered by the conflicts of growth targeting, idea turnover and product association common among larger firms. The size of our portfolio allows us to balance access to global institutional investments and to participate meaningfully in bespoke opportunities that sit outside the typical scope of larger firms. Our managing partner Paul Burgon consistently ranks among the Top 25 financial advisors in Australia in the annual list compiled by The Australian and New York-based investment magazine Barron’s. In 2023, Paul ranked 6th and among the highest performers from a boutique wealth advisory firm, a testament to the culture of performance and service excellence that exists within our team.
