I'm really happy to be part of the iGen Foundation's Accelerator program. Still can't believe that I joined my first program the second day I landed in Australia, 8 months ago! This program brings in great mentors who might support you in the future. I particularly enjoyed the 1:1 session, which is a great way to build relationships and explore more business ideas and opportunities. Thanks for the great mentorship and continued support from Celestine Amoako-Boateng, and for all the people who made this happen.
Last Saturday, 14 migrants graduated from iGen Foundation's #KIITF #Accelerator Program, marking the final phase of the Keeping it in the Family (KIITF) initiative. Sponsored by the City of Melbourne and delivered in partnership with Jesuit Social Services, the KIITF initiative aimed to empower migrants, refugees, and asylum-seeking families in Melbourne through entrepreneurial skills and business development support. Workshops and mentoring were conducted in participants' native languages—Spanish, English, Mandarin, and Arabic. Around 60 participants joined 4 language-based pre-accelerator cohorts. From these, 11 businesses (representing 14 families) with ideas at the commercialisation stage progressed to the KIITF Accelerator Program.
