Founder & Designer at Birds on Bikes | Ethical Manufacturing Advocate at Ethical Edge Collective | Championing Sustainable, Australian-Made Fashion

🌿 Collaboration Over Competition: Shaping the Future of Ethical Fashion in Brisbane 🌿 I’m excited to announce that Ethical Edge Collective and Birds on Bikes will be joining forces with MCC Manufacturing and CHAMANI the Label for a special panel discussion during Brisbane Fashion Month and Ethical Clothing Australia Week. This event will focus on how collaboration within the fashion industry can drive real, lasting change. In an industry where the supply chain is often focused on minimizing costs at the expense of transparency and workers' rights, we’re proud to be part of a movement that prioritizes ethics over exploitation. By sharing resources and working together, we’re building a supply chain that not only benefits our brands but also upholds the dignity and safety of the incredible people behind the garments. But that’s not all! Birds on Bikes will also be featured on the Slow Fashion Runway at Queen Street Mall on Friday, October 18th, from 5:30 PM - 6:00 PM. 🌿 This annual event is a showcase of Brisbane and Queensland’s finest ethical and sustainable fashion labels, including Ethical Clothing Australia-certified brands like Chamani, alongside some of the biggest names in local fashion, such as Pinkpineapple, Secrets of the East, DIY Girl Shed, Kiara Bella, Dinjuan, and Analia the Label. We’re thrilled to be part of this special evening that celebrates ethical fashion and highlights the importance of sustainable practices in the industry. Join us for the panel discussion and don’t miss Birds on Bikes on the runway as we showcase our ethically made cycling apparel, designed with sustainability, comfort, and inclusivity in mind. 🌱 💬 Collaboration and sustainability aren’t just trends – they’re the future of fashion. 💬 Find out more about what's on here 👉 https://bit.ly/40phEDp

In the fast-paced world of modelling, standing out from the crowd is more important than ever. With the rise of social media, it’s easy to think that platforms like Instagram are enough to showcase your work. However, while these platforms are great for exposure, they don’t offer the level of control and professionalism that a personal portfolio website can provide. As a model, your portfolio is your calling card. It’s the key to securing new gigs, building connections with photographers and agencies, and growing your personal brand. Having your own website takes your career to the next level by giving you a professional, personalised space to present your work in a way that social media can’t match. Here’s why every model should consider investing in their own portfolio website: Control your brand: You decide how your work is presented, what images are highlighted, and the story you tell through your portfolio. Be easily discovered by clients: An optimised website improves your chances of being found by local and international clients, especially through search engines. Show professionalism: A dedicated website demonstrates that you take your career seriously, making a strong first impression on clients and agencies. Maintain control of your content: Unlike social media, your website is completely yours. No algorithm changes or platform restrictions. To dive deeper into why having a portfolio website is essential for your career, check out my latest blog post here https://lnkd.in/gH2BqZBH I’ve also been helping models build their own portfolio websites, filled with high-quality images from multiple photoshoot locations. Ready to create a site that will make you stand out and attract more work? Let’s get started on building your brand and showcasing your talent in the best possible light!

Free Google Sites are the quick and easy way of getting a presence online - but do they impact your SEO and help make your 'real' website more visible? In this little test, we're going to see if Google finds our Google Sites site and whether it counts the links to our real site as links. So here are the links to my Google Sites test site sites.google.com\view\mattcornellfashionphotography\home (swap the \ for / to make the link work!) and here's the link Linkedin will modify: https://lnkd.in/gmWvbHxB Check back later and see if free Google Sites improve my link report! • McDonald's Grimace Shake, which took social media by storm in the US, is finally coming to Australia on 4 October. The berry-flavoured, purple shake became a viral sensation thanks to fans and creators sharing their unique experiences on TikTok and Instagram. Now, it's our turn to join the frenzy! If you’ve been looking for a way to jump into a trending topic and boost your own content, this is your chance. Whether you’re a brand, influencer, or just love trying out new things, here’s how you can use the Grimace Shake launch to drive engagement on your socials: Instagram Reels & Stories: Create fun, engaging videos showing off the shake. Use humour, challenges, or creative effects to make your content stand out. This is a prime opportunity to get noticed by new audiences through popular hashtags like #GrimaceShakeAU, #MaccasShakeChallenge, and #GrimaceGoesPurple. TikTok Trends: Follow the same viral strategy that worked in the US. Start a challenge, like recreating Grimace’s unique dance moves or sharing your wildest purple-themed creations. Make sure to tag McDonald’s and use the relevant hashtags to increase your visibility. Collaborations: Team up with influencers or other content creators to do a “Grimace Shake Review” or challenge. This will increase reach by combining your audiences, and everyone loves a good taste test! Blog Feature: Write a post about the upcoming launch and how to create viral content around trending products. Tie it back to your own services, whether you're a photographer looking to capture unique product moments, or a brand seeking collaborations. #GrimaceShake #GrimaceShakeAU #GrimaceGoesPurple #GrimaceShakeChallenge #PurpleShake #MaccasAU #McDonaldsAustralia #MaccasShake #TrendingNow #ViralFood #SocialMediaChallenge
