About us

➼ Gain instant access to 25+ validated psychological questionnaires for assessing ADHD, Autism and other diverse mental health issues (more assessments coming soon... 🚀) ➼ Save time by using automation to send routine follow-up assessments to your patients on a recurring basis 🕒 ➼ Say goodbye to hand-scoring your assessments or manually trying to calculate whether a change in score is clinically meaningful 😩 => 😊 ➼ Unleash your inner scientist by using best practices to monitor change 🤓 ➼ Effortlessly understand symptom severity, risk and diagnosis as patients complete therapy 🏷️ ➼ Seamlessly gather subjective feedback from your patients throughout treatment to stay on track 💬 ➼ Impress referrers with interactive charts and reports to demonstrate therapeutic progress 📉 ➼ Guide With our Analytics feature, clinicians can also track group-level treatment outcomes—based on the characteristics of patients, their presenting problems or their treating practitioner. Results can leveraged to improve marketing efforts, boost team morale, inform therapeutic skill development, and create bespoke internal research programs. To grow a portfolio of treatment outcomes with Measurely, clinicians administer patient-reported outcome measures (PROMs) to their clients and request their feedback throughout therapy. We currently have a library of 25 frequently-used and psychometrically-robust PROMs, which will expand significantly in the near feature. To reduce the likelihood of missing follow-up assessments, PROMs can be sent to clients on a recurring basis, using an automated schedule. A defining strength of Measurely is the support it provides to help clinicians stay consistently on top of their PROMs administration. Everything is tracked and can be actioned rapidly—so there is no risk of falling behind. Measurely is a clinical command centre, was developed by a Clinical Psychologist, and has specific features that set it apart in the mental health treatment space.

About 75% of people who suicide in Australia each year are men. And yet some of the most commonly-used screening tools actually fail to identify men who are at risk of suicide, but present with atypical symptoms—such as substance misuse, anger, risk-taking, emotion suppression and somatic complaints. To capture these symptoms, Professor Simon Rice (Orygen) and his colleagues developed the Male Depression Risk Tool (MDRS-22)—a 22-item screening instrument with 6 subscales. Results have been eye-opening: ➼ The MDRS-22 correctly identified 85% of men with a recent suicide attempt—compared to just 54% identified by the PHQ-9 (one of the most widely-employed depression screeners). ➼ In longitudinal research, the MDRS-22 was sensitive to treatment effects that were missed by the PHQ-9. ➼ The MDRS-22 outperformed the psychometric properties of the PHQ-9 using confirmatory factor analysis. The unique features of depression in men are receiving attention by several researchers, including Professor Barry Fallon, Associate Professor Helen Aucote, Anne Maria Möller-Leimkühler, Dr Andreas Walther, Dr. Zac Seidler and Dr Ian Zajac (please let me know if I've left anyone out). I’d also like to give a special mention here to Dr Danielle Herreen, who developed a 7-item short-form of the MDRS. HOW TO USE THE MDRS-22 Professor Rice has generously granted us permission to include the MDRS-22 in the Measurely library of assessments (https://hubs.la/Q02mFtRm0). So if you work with men experiencing depression, please consider incorporating this important tool into your assessment process. You can administer it electronically or simply download the pdf to get started.

Are you a psychologist or director at a psychology clinic that specialises in treatment for trauma? I'm curious—which psychometric tools do you use to routinely monitor trauma symptoms and progress during therapy? I had a very helpful chat with Liam Harkins at Breathe Psychology last week about the: ➼ Dissociative Experiences Scale-II (DES-II) ➼ Adverse Childhood Experience Questionnaire for adults (ACE-Q) ➼ Mulitidimensional Inventory of Dissociation (MID6.0) Dissociative experiences are really quite fascinating, being quite common in the general population—and not just in presentations such as psychotic disorders, dissociative disorders and PTSD.. "Some people have the experience of finding themselves in a place and have no idea how they got there." - item 3 (DES-II) I also have to say that the MID6.0 sounds like an amazing tool to complement the DES-II, which has some limitations when used to infer a patient's diagnosis or readiness to safely proceed with EMDR (Caroline Burrows I'd love to hear your thoughts on this).. And Liam tells me that the MID6.0 has very useful subscales—including a validity scale, a psychosis screen, and a 'critical items' subscale. At Measurely, we'll be adding the DES-II and ACE-Q to our library later this week 🚀 — employing best practices when it comes to scoring and scientific methods for measuring reliable change. Meanwhile, if you're using a tool you find very useful, please let me know! Tim
