You asked and we delivered!!! We now have a certificate for you to download and share after successfully completing the Aged Care Quality and Safety Commission's Strengthened Quality Standards compliance requirements. The certificate is portable, unique, time stamped and valid for 12 months. If it's not recognised by other providers, let them know that it's been designed by the neuroscientist, Dr Michaella Richards, and is the same content behind RMIT Online's new micro-credential in Aged Care. Thanks to everyone for all your suggestions about how we can improve the Mighty Cares App. We have a list of upgrades for 2025. Keep the feedback coming! Wishing you and your families a joyful holiday season and a very happy and healthy New Year! - Mighty Cares Crew 😊

So this month we worked with the fun team at DCM Media on an elevator pitch for our new Aged Care Training App - Mighty Cares. It was a great exercise in melting down all of the Mighty Cares gold into one 6 minute snap shot of what we do best. We love short, sharp and impactful content too. Each of our Strengthened Quality Standards units is a max 4 minute read + test ✅. Full compliance in under 3 hours and that's you set for the year. 👍      If you have 6 minutes to spare, why don't you check out what we are all about explained by our co-founder Michaella Richards. The new Strengthened Quality Standards are just around the corner. If you don't have a cost effective plan to de-risk your organisation with the Commission then get in touch. Final post before we head off to the Aged & Community Care Providers Association conference in Adelaide next week. We had a pretty fun session to share at the conference entitled 'Teach me and I remember....engage me and I learn' a study of play based learning with CraigCare and Mighty Cares. Unfortunately our session wasn't successful in getting up but I was looking at it last night and thought I would share our session concept. We were going to share our design thinking and: How our subject matter expert content is re-written for multi-level comprehension and our experience with AI content generation Why avatars are still one of the best engagement mechanics around The results of 30 second onboarding and the experience of our first TechnologyOne integration The global stats on why, for the past 10 years, mobile first training is a best approach CraigCare was going to share outcomes on: Their results of higher employee satisfaction and engagement Increased workforce retained learning The workplace buzz around education driven by play, leaderboards and competition  Early evidence of significant time reduction for compliance training -50% If you want to hear about any of this swing past and ask us on STAND 97. We'll submit next year when we will have even more data driven evidence to share from a variety of providers. Huge thanks to Wendy Waddell Ben Higgins Dirk Tulp (MAHRI) Emily Michalsky Anna Eden and all the CraigCare staff for asking us to create something better. ❤️

  • The gap between residential and home services is quite telling - and concerning given the (necessary) shift to support ageing in place! Mighty Cares we're doing our bit to make training simpler, faster and more accessible - but there's so much more needed to support our critical and devoted #careworkforce more effectively to close the gap and reach the 100% targets that are necessary! p.s. Anyone else interested to see what happens to compliance when the new Food standard comes in with greater focus on requirements around food and dining?

🔍 𝗦𝗽𝗼𝘁𝗹𝗶𝗴𝗵𝘁 𝗼𝗻 𝘁𝗵𝗲 𝗦𝗲𝗰𝘁𝗼𝗿 𝗣𝗲𝗿𝗳𝗼𝗿𝗺𝗮𝗻𝗰𝗲 𝗥𝗲𝗽𝗼𝗿𝘁: 𝗖𝗼𝗺𝗽𝗹𝗶𝗮𝗻𝗰𝗲 𝗔𝗰𝗵𝗶𝗲𝘃𝗲𝗺𝗲𝗻𝘁 🧐 Over the next few weeks we will be posting key takeaways from our latest sector performance report. In Q4 2023-2024, 81% of residential care providers met all aged care Quality Standards! That's a significant jump from just 58% last year but there is more to do. Together, we’re improving care for older Australians. 📘 Read the full report here: https://lnkd.in/gywUiEsm #ACQSC #AgedCare #SectorPerformance #Report #QualityStandards

  • Literacy is everyone's problem - especially when it comes to care. At Mighty Cares we're tackling this head on with simple and plan language training developed for a reader with a literacy level for a 12 or 13 year old (year 7). The reality is that less than half of Australia's care workforce - especially in carer or other home care and ancillary support roles - have any post-school qualification. Taken together with the high proportion of ESL (english as a second language) speakers in the care workforce, making training accessible is a must. DM us or visit us at Booth 97 at the Aged & Community Care Providers Association #ACCPA2024 conference next week to find out more!

It’s Health Literacy Month Did you know? Over 80% of people search for health info online, but most online health content is usually written at Year 12 level With only 38% of people able to read at that level, it means that most people can’t understand it. If that’s not a reason to use plain language when writing health information, I don’t know what is. https://lnkd.in/gkuc29sw -------------------------------------------------------------- Nerissa Bentley | The Melbourne Health Writer Health & Medical Writer and AHPRA Compliancy Whizz 💻https://lnkd.in/gN_74ty ✉️nerissa@melbournehealthwriter.com    📱0414 836 732
