Migration Queensland provides Queensland state nomination for business and skilled migration.
About us
Migration Queensland is the state nominating body for the Queensland Government and a business unit of Trade and Investment Queensland (TIQ). In partnership with the Department of Home Affairs, Migration Queensland nominates successful business and skilled visa applicants wanting to establish themselves in Queensland. Migration Queensland provides aftercare services to new business migrants, and facilitates business migration and investment attraction to Queensland, particularly regional Queensland. Migration Queensland works closely with TIQ’s regional and global network, migration agencies, business industry bodies, and other stakeholders to promote Queensland as a choice of destination for migration and investment. Applicants will need to meet the Department of Home Affairs and Queensland state criteria for a specific visa subclass, and due to our limited nomination allocation, only selected applicants will receive a nomination.

Last week, Migration Queensland and Trade and Investment Queensland hosted 30 business migrants for a jam packed three-day investment roadshow of the Bundaberg and Fraser Coast region. It was a great opportunity to showcase the diverse investment opportunities the region has to offer: from horticulture to manufacturing; timber mills and tourism related prospects. The opportunity for development and investment in the region is immense, with the region experiencing growth in population, jobs and gross regional product. Thank you to our partners Bundaberg Regional Council and Fraser Coast Regional Council for showing us the investment and lifestyle potential of your regions. Thank you also to all the participating businesses for making the roadshow a success: Nutrano Produce Group, Gina's Table, Macadamias Australia, Okara, Bundaberg Port Marina, Baywood, @BtB Marine and ORECO GROUP.

🏆 Migration Queensland would like to congratulate the outstanding winners and nominees of the Queensland Filipino Excellence Awards 2024 held at Brisbane City Hall. More than 70,000 Filipinos and Australians of Filipino heritage call Queensland their home, and we are proud to have sponsored and supported this event to recognise outstanding members of the community. Filipino migrants make significant contributions to the Queensland workforce and strengthen our people-to-people and economic ties with the Philippines. We were also honoured to have attended with 3 Queensland-nominated Filipino skilled migrants in nursing, construction, and biotechnology. Their migrant stories reflect the resilience, diversity, and successes of the Filipino community in Queensland. #QFEA2024 Arvey O. Lynel Aguinaldo

Last week, we collaborated with Study Queensland to provide a seminar on the benefits of a diverse skilled workforce in beautiful Toowoomba. It was great to hear from employers and community leaders about the invaluable contributions that skilled migrants make to workplaces, communities and education institutions. #migrationqld #skilledmigrants Trade and Investment Queensland
Connecting the dots on skilled migrant talent 💡 Study Queensland and Migration Queensland recently hosted a seminar in Toowoomba, aimed at raising awareness of the diverse talent available in international students, graduates and skilled migrants within Queensland industry. Over 60 local industry individuals attended the session, which explored the benefits of hiring diverse teams, and de-mystifying the student graduate and visa process to access skilled migrant talent pools. Thank you to our wonderful employer panel - Amanda Kenafake, Mark Casey, Clayton Menyweather, Beth French and Nils Preisler, who provided valuable insights into accessing international talent in the region. We'd also like to thank our presenters from Study Toowoomba Inc, Toowoomba Chamber of Commerce, University of Southern Queensland, and TAFE Queensland for their involvement.
