Mindarma is an evidence-based online resilience training program that teaches workers essential psychological skills. The program is supporting thousands of workers in some of the most challenging occupations including first responders, journalists and frontline healthcare workers. Customised versions of the program are developed to address the unique stressors within a workplace. Mindarma is supported by The Black Dog Institute and UNSW Founders. Our original research partner is Fire and Rescue NSW and our foundation partner is New South Wales Ambulance.

Menopause is a natural stage of life, however many employees find that the symptoms make work a real struggle. The more the severe the symptoms, the lower women's engagement at work. 17% of midlife women take an extended break from work due to menopause (National Women's Health Survey 2023). This Thursday I'll be delivering a keynote at the Adelaide Entertainment Centre as part of South Australia's Small Business Expo hosted by the Office for Small and Family Business. Running a small business has many challenges and can significantly impact our mental health. Small businesses make up 98% of all businesses (ASBFEO, 2023) across Australia and business owners frequently experience high levels of stress as well as common mental health conditions such as anxiety and depression. Research continues to highlight that Self-Compassion plays a protective role for our long-term mental health and helps us navigate periods of change and uncertainty. During this session I'll be sharing how Mindful Self-Compassion practises help us to regularly honour self-care and our wellbeing during busy and challenging times.
