Join the community of global professionals who use risk management for competitive advantage….receive weekly curated insights on WHS, Risk Management and Governance. https://lnkd.in/gVKbUDB8 Can anyone help me understand what is included in etc…. Or why rollerblading was specifically mentioned 🧐😂…… In Sydney this morning working with a mining services client and this sign greets us driving into the car park -all I can conclude is that there might be a marauding gang of rollerblading automation engineers on the loose. But it also highlights the importance of specific questions and specific answers in risk management, so we don’t end up with “ETC….” What do you think 👇

🧐Most organisations have "Blind Spots" or risks they are exposed to without realising it. They might be in supply chain, technology or even your customer's supply chain. Good Risk Management should help you identify these blindspots before they impact the performance of your organisation. 2024 is shaping up to be a volatile and uncertain year, but being part of the global Community of Risk Management will help you identify your blind spots before the rest of the pack. Rocking the boat without capsizing……..?⛵️⚓️ Download The Mindful Three PDF to learn more… https://lnkd.in/gbMMcjxb Asking respectful yet tough questions is critical to success as a senior decision maker. Yet we often notice that many boards and senior leaders struggle to get this balance right. We often see directors in the for purpose sector stay too passive while their colleagues in the private sector can sometimes badger people relentlessly. We also see senior leaders in all sectors unconsciously create power struggles between management and the board to the detriment of the organisation. So how do you get this balance right ? 1. Directors drive strategy- Keep your noses in and your fingers out (except in exceptional circumstances)🚘 2. Senior leaders remind yourselves that directors have real skin in the game and need to ask difficult questions-but you are all pulling in the same direction💪 3. For the sake of your shareholders, stakeholders and the community adopt a risk management framework and invest the time to understand your risk appetite- this will shape consistent and defensible decisions♟️ 4. Regularly scan the horizon and reflect on challenges affecting competitors and your sector🌄 5. Ask the tough questions when they need to be asked but check your ego at the door……….in other words.....🚣♀️ Rock the Boat But Rock It Respectfully !!
