Trans Awareness Week is fast approaching, and we hope you're ready to show your trans pride and allyship! We've seen the importance of visibility in actively creating inclusion throughout the country. Simple actions like displaying a poster or wearing a trans lanyard can make a world of difference. These actions signal safety – and that means everything. You can create safety at work, school, at your business, or in your wider community. And we have packs with all your favourite products bundled with up to 67% off! The trans and gender diverse community face so much discrimination every day. It may not seem like much, but seeing a trans flag proudly waving can be incredibly affirming, and a beautiful reminder of acceptance. Plus, the colours really do brighten up any space! Together, let's promote inclusion in all spaces and stand against trans discrimination. Shop now: https://buff.ly/3Yp0KSH

Happy Intersex Awareness Day! Today, we celebrate intersex pride and allyship, and raise awareness of the barriers and injustices unfortunately still faced by the intersex community. Did you know that about 1.7% of the population are intersex? That's about the same as those with red hair! As stated by Intersex Human Right Australia, "intersex people have innate sex characteristics that don’t fit medical and social norms for female or male bodies, and that create risks or experiences of stigma, discrimination and harm." Want to learn more? Check out their website, where you'll find some incredible resources: ihra.org.au And to our intersex community, we see your strength, and your unique voice. Today is a chance to really celebrate you!

People are at the centre of Trans Awareness Week. It's a time to spotlight the voices and stories of the trans and gender diverse community. It's a time to highlight the incredibly rich lives that trans, non-binary and gender diverse people lead every day. It's a time for everyone to gather and celebrate trans pride and joy. We often hear people say that they "don't know a trans person". But, even if you haven't realised – trans, non-binary and gender diverse people are all around you. So to all the allies out there, Trans Awareness Week is your chance to proudly show your trans allyship and come together to amplify the voices of the community. And to our trans community – know that we see you, we celebrate you, and we can't wait to share this beautiful week with you. Pronouns aren't new. We've always used gendered and non-gendered pronouns to refer to others and to ourselves. There are so many reasons why it's important to use someone's correct pronouns. The thing is, you can't know what that is just by looking at someone. So why not ask someone the pronouns they prefer? Learn more: https://buff.ly/3YDPJNx

Trans youth deserve to feel safe at school. This sentiment is exactly why we're launching 300 FREE pride packs to schools right across Australia. We want all schools to be able to celebrate Trans Awareness Week together, and send powerful positive messages of support to their community. Because inclusion should be accessible for everyone, regardless of school budget. Displaying a trans flag or poster can do so much. It shows that you care, and there is a safe space within these walls. Imagine being a young trans person seeing a message of support at your school – imagine how much that would do in making you feel included. These packs are only possible thanks to your support, so we want to say a big thank you to each and every one of you for amplifying our work. It's because of you that we're able to promote inclusion every day. 🏳️⚧️ The details of these packs? 🫶 Only one per school, so we can reach as many schools as possible. 🫶 These packs are totally free, you just need to pay for shipping. 🫶 We only have 300 to give away, so be quick. Last year they were all gone within 24 hours of going live! 🏳️⚧️ Want early access so you don't miss out? 🫶 Sign up for our free Trans Awareness Week toolkit using your school email address, and we'll email you access the day before: https://buff.ly/3N9L40e

Happy Ace Week! 🖤🤍💜 This week, we celebrate our incredible ace community! Asexuality is when you experience little or no sexual attraction to other people. There are many identities on the asexual spectrum, including demisexual, fraysexual and graysexual. Remember, however you identify, your ace identity is YOURS – so express it however you choose, and use whatever words feel best for you. And to allies of the ace community, take this week to learn more about the ace experience, and support those around you!

It's GiveOUT Day! Today is all about supporting LGBTQIA+ charities, with dollar matching on your donations: https://buff.ly/3BEr9nS Every donation made to us today will go towards keeping our young people safe at our events. Because these identity-affirming events are incredibly important in celebrating our queer youth community, and building lifelong connections. Earlier this year, you may remember Queer Formal® Melbourne was under attack from anti-LGBTQIA+ groups. They told their followers to register for all tickets so that queer young people couldn't attend. This was just one in an increasing number of threats we're facing as a charity that supports queer youth. The event was a roaring success, but the reality is that costs of delivering our rigorous youth safety procedures has doubled in the past couple of years. With your help, we’ll fund hiring youth workers, safety angels, and other volunteers to support youth safety at our events. We’ll continue to pay Young Leaders to take the lead in planning and delivering accessible, youth-driven events – while also developing their leadership skills and confidence. And we’ll continue to invest in safety training for all our staff, constantly prioritising the improvement of our procedures. The attacks on Queer Formal® Melbourne highlighted just how far we still have to go in creating a truly inclusive Australia. It also highlighted how important it is for us to continue to bolster our already robust youth safety procedures. And just how much work, and funding, is required to keep it at a world-class level. Learn more + donate: https://buff.ly/3BEr9nS
