NEW PROJECT // PREFECTURE 48 is a six-in-one Japanese hub located in a heritage-listed building on Sussex Street in Sydney. The site, a former storage facility, is split into two sections by a central courtyard. The concept draws inspiration from Japan’s 47 prefectures, creating an unofficial “48th” through its cultural and culinary offerings. Within Prefecture 48, you’ll find four restaurants, a patisserie, and a whisky bar.   Luminaire selection was crucial to bringing this project to life. MLP collaborated with lighting designer’s Electrolight to develop some bespoke luminaires, carefully aligning with their overall vision. LightGraphix uplighting played a big role emphasising the heritage features, while other custom luminaires were designed for unique applications throughout the venue. NEW PROJECT // 108 St Georges Terrace – End of Trip Facilities The site where 108 St Georges Tce sits has a rich history, from its early days as the first licensed premise in Perth in 1830, to the opulent Palace Hotel opening in 1897. Much of the hotel was demolished to make way for the tower development, with the facade and main foyer of the building retained. The building has had many identities, initial known as the Bond Tower, the R&I Tower, then the BankWest Tower and more recently the South32 Tower. Fast forward to 2024 and the building is slated to be renamed to the Palace Tower, a nostalgic reference to the original Hotel, as part of a $10 million makeover aimed at securing a new anchor tenant. MLP worked closely with architects Woods Bagot to deliver on their design of the stunning new End of Trip facilities. The completely custom lighting arrangement follows the unique curves of the joinery, creating a visually stunning uninterrupted effect. Read more about this project here: https://lnkd.in/gVzihRqS

PISTA HIGH PROFILE – The ever popular Pista 48V Track is now available with a new High Profile track. While keeping its slimness and sleek looks, the larger track boasts a more voluminous presence. Topping it off, the generous height becomes a canvas for brushed colours giving it a visual appeal that stands out even more.⁠ ⁠ Pista is a modular 48V track system, offering a myriad of configurations including linear LED modules as well as spotlight fixtures.
