Today, MND Victoria turns 43 💙 For over four decades, we’ve been dedicated to changing lives by providing the best possible care and support for people living with MND. The quality and multitude of services we offer has only been made possible thanks to the generosity and support of the MND community. Thank you to our supporters, donors and advocates for helping us on our mission to provide the best possible care and support until the world is free of MND. Here’s to 43 years, with hope that we won't be needed in another 43 years. But, as we say here at MND Victoria – ‘Until there’s a cure, there’s care’ 🤍

National Carers Week is just around the corner! 📅 Did you know there are 758,500 unpaid carers in Victoria alone? Across Australia, 3 million carers support loved ones with disabilities, long-term conditions, or ageing needs. At MND Victoria, we recognise the vital role carers play, especially in the lives of those living with MND. We're here to support the loved ones of those with MND, offering services and programs at no cost to them 💙

🤫 READY, SET… SHUT UP! 🤫 Today’s marks the start of the Shut Up! Challenge Week! For 6 or 12 hours this week, choose to give up speaking to help support those who have lost their voice to MND 💙 Whether you're participating in the Challenge today or later in the week, we wish you the best of luck! Your silence is helping to raise awareness and vital funds for those living with MND today, tomorrow and in the future. We're hiring! 💼 We're seeking an experienced health professional to join MND Victoria's Education, Client and Carer Support Team. As an MND Education and Client Intake Coordinator, you will be one of the first points of contact for people diagnosed with MND. The successful candidate will work directly with people with MND, using their experience and knowledge to support them when they register with MND Victoria and in providing ongoing information, education and advice. This role is a 12-month maternity leave cover contract, 0.9FTE, based in Canterbury, Victoria.
