The new $12.6 million dairy complex at the Cadell Training Centre, has been officially opened as the David Oates ACM Dairy. This project was delivered across two stages and represents a significant upgrade from the old facility. Construction took approximately 14 months and required commissioning of two separate specialised systems, dairy and production. It also required the implementation of all necessary biosecurity type controls, treatment or clearances of plant/equipment prior to being onsite and the engagement of specialist dairy contractors. Over 40 inmates were engaged with the project, with 18 contributing to the construction using skills gained from their Certificate II in Pathways to Construction. The dairy now houses a herd of 290 cattle, milking 110 cows daily, and producing an average of 1,800 to 1,900 litres of raw milk and 900 kilograms of cream per week. The dairy’s products supply the Adelaide Women’s Prison, Mobilong Prison, and Port Augusta Prison, and excess raw milk is distributed to local businesses. Additionally, milk is donated to the Hutt Street Centre and the Rotary Club of Waikerie. The new dairy complex will sustain ongoing dairy production and enable CTC Industries to enhance its processing capacity, diversify its product range, and expand its customer base while delivering high-quality milk throughout the correctional system. Additionally, it offers a valuable opportunity for inmates focused on rehabilitation, providing a constructive environment and avenues for personal development as they reintegrate into society. We were thrilled to deliver these upgrades on behalf of the Department for Infrastructure & Transport for the Department for Correctional Services in collaboration with Mohyla Architects Interior Designer, TMK Consulting Engineers, Chris Sale Consulting and the wider project team. 📷 Brad Griffin Photography

Construction has officially kicked off on the new Port Lincoln Prestige dealership in Port Lincoln. Delivered through a design and construct model, this project will be carried out over two stages. Stage 1, will involve extensive earthworks along with the construction of a new vehicle showroom. This phase will include earthworks to level the sloping site, as well as the installation of new retaining walls to create a multi-tiered service centre and showroom. The second stage will focus on completing the new vehicle display yard and car park. Covering an impressive 5,300 square meters, the new facility will house leading automotive brands such as Ford, Mitsubishi, RAM, and Subaru all in one location. Additionally, it will include a servicing area for electric vehicles. This new site will be ten times larger than ONE SMG's current operation and purpose built, signalling their commitment to providing outstanding products, services, and support to the Port Lincoln community. We eagerly anticipate bringing this impressive showroom and dealership to life for One SMG Group in collaboration with Arco Architecture and Interior Design and the extended project team. Trinity College's dedication to offering exceptional educational opportunities has certainly been highlighted with the establishment of their new campus at St. Yves, Roseworthy. This new campus marks the sixth school under the Trinity College umbrella, with a focus on providing a premier learning environment in Adelaide’s Northen suburbs. The $39m project was completed over three phases, consisting of a new building tailored for R-6 students that is complete with modern classrooms, specialised breakout areas, a library, and a multi-purpose hall. In addition, an Early Learning Centre, Gymnasium, and Outside School Hours Care Facility were also constructed on the spacious grounds. Extensive new landscaping included a covered outdoor learning area, playgrounds, sports fields, courts, and carparking. Mossop were thrilled for the opportunity to again deliver another rewarding project for Trinity College South Australia in collaboration with Swanbury Penglase and the extended project team. We can't wait to see the growth and opportunities in which this new campus will create for years to come.
