🚫 Slowing down doesnt mean stopping. The genocidal videos and images are very distressing, causing heightened levels of anxiety within our bodies. Slow down and tune into your physical sensations in this 3-minute method: 1. Sitting comfortably, take a deep breath in through the nose, and out through the mouth. 2. As you breathe out, close your eyes, and notice how your body feels. 3. Starting at the top of the head, gently scan down through the body, all the way down to the toes, seeing what feels comfortable and what feels uncomfortable. Ensure that you do not burnout and keep going!

What we see on our phones of the war are so devastating and our hearts and minds are there with them. There is a disconnect with our physical realities on the this side of the world. This could lead to numbness and burnout in our activism if we aren't careful. We do not urge to switch off completely but allow breaks to be mindful of your surroundings. 💚

And yes you are strong but your strength should not be abused by these people who continue to abuse many who fear speaking out. Let’s hope your strength will give power with hope for others to speak out about their horrific experiences without fear. Let’s hope leaders are listening and learning that this so called social cohesion they keep throwing back in our faces is their responsibility and they are the ones who need to take account of their words and action. Hope will overcome fear, only Once, we collectively come together to speak truth to power.
