About us

My Plan Manager is the National Disability Insurance Scheme (NDIS) ‘un-complicator’ to tens of thousands of NDIS participants across Australia. Established in 2014, we were the first in the market to do what we do – support people with disability to get the most out of their NDIS plans – and today, we’re the largest and most experienced provider in the country. Our mission is to create an inclusive Australia where everyone has the opportunity to reach their full potential, and our people recognise that the best outcomes are achieved when we work in partnership with our clients, their support coordinators, and wider networks. Our values centre around being kind, genuine, innovative and inclusive, and drive everything we do.

NDIS providers, have you seen the latest podcast episode of Reasonable & Necessary with Dr George Taleporos? Dr. George sat down with Rebecca Falkingham, the CEO of the NDIA to chat about the latest changes to the NDIS Act, and break down what these updates mean for participants. Some exciting work is underway to boost employment for Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander people in the disability services sector. With a $2 million grant from the Australian Research Council, a project – led entirely by Aboriginal Chief Investigators – will aim to find ways to attract and recruit more Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander people into the disability services workforce. The project will focus on Queensland, New South Wales, Victoria and Western Australia and use Indigenous knowledge to create resources to make workplaces more appealing and culturally safe. Did you know carers, many of whom also undertake paid work, contribute nearly $80 billion annually to the Australian economy? With one in eight Australians known to be a carer, almost every workplace includes people caring for parents, siblings, or other family members. That’s why it’s important to get behind @NationalCarersWeek, to celebrate and raise awareness about the vital role carers play in enriching lives and providing essential support. #NationalCarersWeek #SupportCarers #LinkedInCommunity For more information on what support is available for carers visithttps://lnkd.in/gVd7m_xh

Immersive Virtual Reality (VR) could be a game-changer for people with intellectual disability, helping them to develop practical skills faster and more independently. Researchers from the University of South Australia and UNSW Sydney worked with adults with intellectual disability to study the impact of immersive VR on training in tasks like waste separation and gardening, and discovered those wearing VR headsets outperformed their peers who used tablet devices. The study not only shows the capacity building potential of immersive VR, but also adds another tool to the kit of NDIS providers looking to revolutionise the delivery of effective and engaging training programs. #VirtualReality #LifeSkills #IntellectualDisability #InnovativeTraining #FutureTech #InclusionMatters More information can be found at: https://lnkd.in/gRZp8S63

Exciting news for travellers! ✈️ Melbourne Airport has just launched a groundbreaking service called Airport Assist, the first of its kind in Australia! Look out for the airport's four new mobility hubs, set up to support passengers with disability or access needs. The hubs make it super easy to navigate between car parks, check-in areas, baggage halls, and pick-up/drop-off zones. Plus, you'll find accessible info for navigation, communication boards for non-verbal travellers, and even Hidden Disability Sunflower Program lanyards and sensory packs.
