With over 275 stores across Australia, mycar provides a full range of automotive services including scheduled servicing, tyres, brakes, suspension, batteries and general mechanical repairs. Each store is run by a dedicated team of trained technicians and is an important part of the local community. Without a doubt, our biggest investment is in our most valuable resource – our team. We're proud to train our team to new and higher industry standards in service quality. With over 1,300 employees nationally, we’re one of the largest employers in the automotive service and repair industry, and we’re also the largest single employer of apprentice motor mechanics in Australia. mycar’s vision is to be the team of auto experts famous for customer care, and mycar is committed to setting new standards of service excellence for the industry. Our focus is to meet customers needs, no matter what car they drive – petrol, diesel, hybrid, electric, or any clean fuels of the future. Maybe we sound a little familiar. If we do, it’s because you used to know us as Kmart Tyre & Auto Service. We’ve been around since 1969, as part of the Wesfarmers group of companies, and operated as Kmart Tyre & Auto Service until 2019, when we rebranded to mycar following the sale to Continental A.G.

Adam Pay, mycar's Managing Director, recently spoke to Neil Dowling, GoAutoNews Premium, about the mycar Mobility Index and the "the role that tyre and repair outlets needed to play [in] having clear conversations with customers about what work has been done on a customer’s car and giving recommendations on where the owner spends the time and money." “You have to be very clear about what needs to be done today, but really, really clear about what can’t wait until the next service,” Adam said. “That gives them time to consider their options with the car repair and also allows them to budget for the cost.” "We all know that things wear out and that regular maintenance is essential to keep a car in tip-top condition. It keeps the car roadworthy, which is obviously really important, but in the long run it saves time and money.” You can read more here - https://lnkd.in/gsZrCRiK #numberoneteaminauto #peoplefirst #teammycar #MobilityIndex #mycar #teamwork #carebeyondthecar #teamofautoexpertsfamousforcustomercare #automotive #EVready

It’s here! Launched today, our inaugural mycar Mobility Index, captures the thoughts and feelings of Australians on the state of mobility today and into the future. 🔍Our research uncovered how: 💵 Mobility habits are shifting due to the monetary squeeze – 60% of drivers have adjusted their vehicle maintenance habits in light of the rising cost-of-living 🔋 EV drivers are satisfied with their vehicles – 82% are confident in the reliability and durability of EV components, reducing concerns about frequent servicing needs 🚙 Australians remain apprehensive about future in-car technology, with 44% wary of autonomous driving solutions And it’s great to see the mycar Mobility Index 2024 in news. com. au with Danielle Collis highlighting: 🚘 As Australians feel the pinch of rising living costs, EVs are emerging as a more appealing option for many drivers, due to savings on maintenance and fuel. ❓However a significant number of Australians remain sceptical about making the switch from traditional petrol or diesel vehicles. The top three concerns towards purchasing an EV are: 🛠️Servicing and maintenance 🔋Limited range and availability of charging infrastructure 💵 High upfront costs Our very own Adam Pay got a chance to speak with news. com. au to discuss how at mycar we’re working hard to support our customers through this transition in what is an exciting future for mobility. We also want to give a special shout out to Stuart Charity from Australian Automotive Aftermarket Association for supporting the launch of our report! 🔗 Read the full article here: https://lnkd.in/grqmQ4_j And visit our website and go to the Info -> News for more information on the mycar Mobility Index 2024. #carebeyondthecar #peoplefirst #carelikemycar #autoexpertsfamousforcustomercare #technicians

The WorldSkills Australia Perth competition has come to an end, the clean up is over and all tools are packed away for 2024 🧰 900 KM's travelled 🚗 Early morning's 🌅 followed by late evening's 🌃 flowing from one day to another. The result was an extremely successful competition with high level competitors across all x3 days. It was terrific to be a part of it all, I had hands on experience with both the set up and pack away this time around. It's a well oiled logistical machine to say the least 🦾 I am thrilled that mycar sponsor should a prestigious event, I have seen first hand what this competition means to the people involved and it adds great value all round. To my fellows techs that competed 🧑🔧 Congratulations you did yourselves proud with the showing you put in. I experienced first hand some very talented next gen technicians that shone a bright light over the industry under extreme pressure, preforming at a very high level 🔆💡 We wait for the final results to be tallied up and see who will go forward to Nationals ⌚✨💯🥇💪🦾🧰 #everforward #technicians #mechanics #nextgen
