KEEPING UP WITH THE LAW: ENVIRONMENTAL, HERITAGE AND SUSTAINABILITY IN THE GEELONG REGION | Navigating the complexities of evolving legislation across environmental, heritage and sustainability spaces is no small task. Recently, #NDY’s Loreta Brazukas, Global Sustainability Lead and Hock Ter, Senior Consultant – Sustainability, joined a panel of speakers in Geelong, Victoria, Australia to explore these key challenges. Through a series of presentations, the panel shared insights and practical strategies to help clients in the Geelong region stay prepared and aligned with the latest legislative changes to meet regulatory demands and upcoming trends in the market. In their presentation, Loreta and Hock highlighted key developments in environmental priorities, with a focus on using the Green Star Buildings tool. The drive toward net zero is also reshaping the built environment, shifting the focus from operational to embodied carbon - a critical move for meaningful impact. Thank you to all the speakers for covering topics ranging from environmental law updates and compliance trends to the latest in cultural heritage management and waste management obligations. Your insights provided clarity to some of the most pressing issues facing our industry today. BOWLS, BANTER AND BRAGGING RIGHTS | Last week, #NDY Adelaide held their 4th annual ‘Incredibowl’ client event. The weather was touch and go, but as the sun came out, so did the competition. Teams brought their A-game for an afternoon of lawn bowls with an Olympic twist, turning the green into a medal-winning arena. It was all about good company, friendly rivalries and plenty of laughs. A huge congratulations to MAB 'The Medal Seekers' for taking home the gold after a tight match against SMFA - Stallard Meek Flightpath Architects 'The Victory Lanes'. Well-earned bragging rights! Rider Levett Bucknall RLB PM's 'Green Guardians' may have claimed the wooden spoon, but their fun showdown with Rider Levett Bucknall RLB 'Lawn Rebels' kept everyone entertained right to the end. But it wasn’t just about the bowls - we raised $750 for the Hutt St Centre, an organisation that connects and supports people facing homelessness. Contributing to such a meaningful cause made the day even more special, allowing us to make a real difference in our community. Thank you to everyone for making the day unforgettable. And to our incredible clients, we’re grateful for your support this year and look forward to what’s ahead. #MakingSpacesWork Tetra Tech High Performance Buildings Group | Cosentini Associates | Glumac | Hoare Lea

WHERE SUSTAINABILITY MEETS STYLE | Congratulations to NAB Adelaide, Woods Bagot and Built. for the recent win in the ‘Commercial Fitout over $5 m’ category at the 2024 Master Builders SA Building Excellence Awards!
