  • I was once a newbie, too. I remember the first conference I went to in Brisbane in 2018, walking into a professional conference room filled with so many talented Virtual Assistants, and it hit me—this is an authentic, professional, and thriving industry. It’s easy to think that because we work virtually, we lack the support or community that ties us together. But that VA conference was my wake-up call. I realised that the VA industry is very real, filled with incredible people doing amazing things for the clients they support. At that first conference, I met some really lovely people - in real life - and some of them are still part of my professional network today. This is your chance to make friends, feel part of an authentic industry, and know that you have endless opportunities for support, collaboration, and networking. I loved it so much I went back the next year, that picture above was taken at the conference in 2019! This experience sparked my passion for the VA industry, particularly in mindset development within this space. Every conference I’ve attended since has not only provided valuable technical skills and education but also introduced me to fantastic Virtual Assistants who have become great friends and huge supporters of my professional journey. If you’re on the fence about attending our VA conference next month, let me just say—I was once a newbie, too. I didn’t know anyone on the first morning of that conference, but by the end, I had met so many wonderful people who were going through the exact same challenges I was. It was eye-opening, mind-blowing, and incredibly exciting to realise I wasn’t alone. So, I encourage you to come along, and I promise that by the end of the day you’ll be so glad you did! Jane x
