To celebrate Saturday's home Indigenous Round game against Gold Coast, we held a special screening of Like My Brother, an up-close portrayal of the lives of four Indigenous Australian women from the Tiwi Islands, their pursuit to play in the AFLW and the social and physical challenges they faced. Following Friday's Captain's Run, players, coaches and staff gathered to watch, and tucked into afternoon tea provided by Mabu Mabu 🧁 Thanks to Mushroom Group for making it possible.

Jaidyn Stephenson has called time on his AFL career, after 122 games over seven seasons with the North Melbourne and Collingwood Football Clubs. Kangaroos general manager of football Todd Viney thanked Stephenson for his service. "We appreciate that Jaidyn has made this decision in his best interests and that he is keen to explore other things in his life," Viney said. "We thank Jaidyn, parents Darren and Raquel and the Stephenson family for their contribution to the club over the past four years."

Cooper Harvey will remain at North Melbourne until at least the end of 2025 after signing a one-year contract extension. North Melbourne head of football talent Brady Rawlings said the club was excited to see what the 20-year-old forward could achieve next season. "Unfortunately, a few injuries have impacted Cooper's football continuity during his first two seasons at North Melbourne," Rawlings said. "We know he'll be eager to make the most of his opportunities next season, and we look forward to seeing what he can do with another AFL pre-season under his belt and a clear run at it."

North Melbourne can confirm two further list changes, with Charlie Lazzaro and Blake Drury not offered contracts for 2025. North Melbourne general manager of football Todd Viney thanked Lazzaro and Drury for their contributions. "We thank Charlie and Blake for the commitment and effort they have shown during their respective time at North Melbourne," Viney said. "These decisions are never easy to make, and we wish both men well in their future endeavours."

Jawoyn woman and North Melbourne star Mia King models Kangaroo Way at the 2024 AFLW Indigenous Round launch 🦘 Designed by Wemba Wemba, Gunditjmara, Ngadjonji and Taungurung artist Emma Bamblett, the guernsey will be worn against Kuwarna in Adelaide on Friday, and against the Gold Coast SUNS at Arden Street in Week 10.
