  • A vibrant new whole-of-government workplace hub is coming to Dubbo 🙌 To deliver the hub, Property and Development NSW plans to redevelop the existing government office at Carrington Avenue to include: 🌟 a new facade and internal fit-out of the current building 🌟 construction of a three-storey extension 🌟 a landscape-designed pocket park featuring a yarning circle and a pedestrian walkway The hub, which also includes plans to refurbish a neighbouring government building, will be environmentally sustainable, aiming to meet 5.5 Star NABERS Energy, 3 Star NABERS Water and 4 Star Greenstar ratings ⭐ Work on the hub is expected to be completed in 2026 and will deliver 400 local trade and construction jobs 👷♀️👷♂️ Find out more at 👉 https://ow.ly/nzm550TfXlE

  • ICYMI 👉 The ‘Godmother of the Sydney Harbour Bridge’, Kathleen Muriel Butler, has been honoured with a prestigious Heritage NSW blue plaque 👏 Ms Butler is being recognised for her outstanding contributions as a pioneer for women in engineering, particularly as a key member of lead engineer John Bradfield’s team in delivering Sydney’s landmark ‘coat hanger’ 👷♀️ A commemorative blue plaque now adorns the Chief Secretary’s Building in the Macquarie Street East Precinct, where Ms Butler spent much of her working life 🔵 49 outstanding people have so far been honoured as part of the Heritage NSW Blue Plaques program, which commenced in 2021 to commemorate the people and events that have shaped our state 🙌 Find out more about Kathleen Butler and the Blue Plaques program at https://ow.ly/blS850SVuln 👈

  • That’s 200 schools (and counting) involved in our NSW Cooling the Schools program! 🌳👏 Thanks to the collaboration of Greening Australia and NSW Department of Education we’ve been able to establish native gardens in 200 primary and secondary schools across the Greater Sydney Region 🤝 As students plant, they’re learning first-hand about the environmental and cultural benefits of planting native trees for First Nations cultures, urban cooling and biodiversity.
