We’re lifting the bar on procurement with Aboriginal businesses 🚀 In partnership with the NSW Indigenous Chamber of Commerce, our Aboriginal Participation Strategy aims for agencies to direct 1% of their spending and 3% of goods and services contracts to Aboriginal businesses 💪🏾 The strategy will also help build staff capability in working with Aboriginal businesses and increase cultural capability, enabling greater participation and value for money in procurement. World-class sporting and event precinct Sydney Olympic Park has released their draft Master Plan 2050 ✨ The plan proposes transforming this iconic destination into a thriving urban community to support the population projected to be visiting and living in Sydney Olympic Park. We’re improving water quality and protecting our waterways with updated Guidelines for Erosion and Sediment Control on Building Sites 💧 The guidelines will help small-scale builders, certifiers, stormwater specialists and anyone working on construction sites that are less than 2,500m² to effectively prevent erosion and sediment pollution 🏘️ This work supports the NSW Marine Estate Management Strategy 2018-2028 ✅ View the updated guidelines at https://ow.ly/evHA50TW0Hz 👈

Our state-wide property audit continues to identify surplus government land to build more homes 🏘️ A further 11 sites across Greater Sydney and 3 in regional NSW have been identified for future social, affordable and private housing development ✅ This includes 2 sites at Box Hill and Riverstone, 3 sites at Rouse Hill, and sites at Edmondson Park, Stanmore, Earlwood, North Sydney, Chippendale and Fairfield. The 3 regional sites are located at Broadmeadow, Morriset and Orange.
