Ltd. which is one of the largest bakeries in Malta. 🥐 🥖 This washing line is handling 5 different types of crates which are washed, disinfected and dried. We at Oestergaard are proud to be part of the recycle movement that is the rendering industry, and are proud everyday at how much our machines, customers and business partners are doing to reduce waste from the food, meat and fish industries, and turning it into reusable co- and by-products. --------------------------------------------- April 21 is marked as National Rendering Day in the US by NARA – The North American Rendering Association – a day where we celebrate rendering and the important act of reducing waste in the food, meat and fish industries. Because rendering is recycling. Approx. 50% of a cow is labeled as inedible by Americans, and what happens to those 50%?  They are rendered and through refinement end up as by- and co(w)-products in feed, pet food, fertilizer, soap, shampoo, glue, rubber, paint etc. instead of going to waste e.g. in a landfill where all the important proteins, fats and acids go to waste. A fish meal dryer was sent to a customer in Norway a little while ago. We wanted to share these pictures with you, as we are proud of the work our team has put into this giant of a machine. The process of manufacturing a dryer - whether for meat, fish, poultry or other types of raw material - is long and sometimes tedious. Our employees out on the floor who bust their behinds every day to make all the pieces come together, are not always aware of the significant difference they make in their daily work. It's important to state that without them, we would not be able to have our business in the first place. As the saying goes... "Teamwork makes the dream work". So let's celebrate the people who work hard everyday to ensure all projects are shipped off with success - whether in our business or in yours.
