    A common myth is that the executive search market slows down as we head into Christmas. I am pleased to say this isn't the case. A number of compounding factors mean that the period we are heading into can be the best time to attract senior talent: 1) Time for reflection | Executives generally use the holiday period as a time for introspection, away from the busyness of the end of the financial year, reporting and AGM's. This introspection can include assessing new career options. 2) Results drive change | Some businesses underperform and some businesses overperform at year end. Either scenario drives a need for new leadership and therefore executive churn and availability. These changes are planned in August and actioned in October - December. This is reflected in our data, the below shows an exponential uplift in executives connecting with us for career planning advice from last year's FYQ2 as compared to September 2023.
