Sydney Metro is Australia’s biggest public transport project. Building, operating and maintaining a network of four metro lines, 46 stations and 113km of new metro rail. Sydney Metro is revolutionising how Australia’s biggest city travels, connecting Sydney’s north west, west, south west and greater west to fast, reliable turn-up-and-go metro services with fully accessible stations. The Pitt Street Station (now called Gadigal Station) is nearly completed. It is part of the NSW Government’s Sydney Metro City & Southwest Project that includes a new 30km metro line extending metro rail from the Metro North West line at Chatswood, under Sydney Harbour, through new CBD stations and southwest to Bankstown. On top of the Station is Parkline Place. The $1.5 Billion development which created 590-620 full time construction jobs and will support 3,500-4,000 knowledge worker, hospitality and retail jobs in this CBD growth corridor. Some amazing facts to consider about this development: ⭐️The premium 39-storey tower includes 47,839 square metres office space across 29 levels, and 1,285 square metres of hospitality & retail. Already attracting premium tenants including BDO & Insignia Financial. ⭐️Internationally-renowned architects Foster + Partners have designed a distinctive building that encapsulates global benchmarks in sustainable design, smart technology and workplace experience. Their other iconic buildings include Bloomberg’s headquarters in New York and 30 St Mary Axe (aka the Gherkin) in London. ⭐️The building is well located and easy to get to – on the train network, it is 2 mins from Martin Place, 2 mins from Central Station, 4 mins from Barangaroo, 7 mins from Victoria Cross and 20 mins from Parramatta. It is less than 5 mins walk from every other mode of transport – 150m from Town Hall station; 250m from light rail on George Street; and buses/taxi ranks/rideshare will stop right outside the building on Park Street. Also its only 90m to Hyde Park and 500m to the Domain, providing a tree-lined escape for walking meetings, or exercise which are so important for employee wellbeing. ⭐️The amenity in this area of the CBD is continuing to grow - in a five minute radius, there are supermarkets and convenience stores; cafes and restaurants; fitness centres; medical facilities; childcare centres and carparks. ⭐️Parkline Place is 75% owned by Oxford Properties Group and 25% owned by Mitsubishi Estate Co., Ltd. It is being developed by Investa and built by CPB Contractors. ⭐️Due for completion late this year, first tenants will move in during 2025.
