Thanks Shevon De Alwis!!
Another unforgettable evening at the Parlour Saloon 👏 Last week, I had the pleasure of watching Tava and Ilana interview each other - their conversation was honest, unfiltered, and hilarious! Key takeaways? Don’t let a good crisis go to waste, allow yourself the permission to be imperfect, and a beautiful reflective prompt from Ilana: What do you hope for? Looking forward to the next one! #ParlourSaloon | Parlour Inc: gender, equity, architecture

A great review Trisha Karkhanis! Thanks for coming along to last week's Melbourne Salon... and for posting!
𝗦𝗽𝗿𝗶𝗻𝗴 𝗦𝗮𝗹𝗼𝗻 𝟮𝟬𝟮𝟰 - 𝗕𝗿𝗶𝗱𝗴𝗲 𝗯𝗲𝘁𝘄𝗲𝗲𝗻 𝗔𝗿𝗰𝗵𝗶𝘁𝗲𝗰𝘁𝘂𝗿𝗲 𝗮𝗻𝗱 𝘁𝗵𝗲 𝗣𝘂𝗯𝗹𝗶𝗰 As the weather shifted from sunny to cold, windy, and dark, the conversation at Parlour Inc: gender, equity, architecture 's Spring Salon kept us warm with its well-known boldness of candid conversations. Tava Darakamaran , who likens herself to a Quentin Tarantino character in the heat of an argument, and Ilana Razbash , the unapologetically opinionated woman who had thoughts on her beige carpet's color since age one, brought their years of experience curating public conversations to the table. The chat took off as Ilana asked her infamous Radio Architecture question, "What was your earliest memory of a building or place?" The discussion wove through architecture and public conversations, highlighting the importance of including broader audiences in the architectural dialogue. Experiences from Tava's organized talks and Ilana's radio show provided intriguing and unexpected moments that always brought excitement and shaped their work. The conversation also touched on brand identity and how studios can build a strong identity to showcase their strengths. "Be valuable, not just available." Ilana wrapped up with her signature show finale question, "What gives you hope?" Tava's simple but profound answer: the stories and experiences shared that pave the path forward. For all the other unedited, unreserved conversations, check out the Parlour pod! 🎧 Picture credits: Simon Woodcock 📸 #Architecture #PublicTalks #BrandIdentity #ParlourSalon #CandidConversations #RadioArchitecture #BuildingMemories
