We've hit 500,000 meals in Sydney! What we do is more than a meal 🍽️ It's our community coming together to provide people they care about a meaningful gesture of their support. Our customers, our partners & our team use food as our love language to provide hope, support and dignity. For over 4 years we have been turning up consistently with the best quality food to the people who have become our friends. This milestone is possible by our team, 90% of whom are from the communities we provide meals to, who pour their hearts into each of those 500,000 meals. Thank you to the organisations that support us through donations, the suppliers that provide us with food, the customers who turn up to the restaurants and importantly the recipients of our meals- you inspire us and your appreciation and care back make us want to do more.

I had the incredible opportunity to visit the Sydney Swans HQ with a number of Autodesk clients this week, thanks to Lou G. and Ryan Pearce at Autodesk. COO Drew Arthurson gave us an inside tour of the new home of the Sydney Swans, and CEO Tom Harley spoke to us about leadership within the context of a highly competitive sporting environment. After the tour, I had the opportunity to reflect on what makes great leadership. What is your purpose? What is your value proposition? What is your commitment to uphold the culture and strategy of the organisation? These are all key questions to ask, but they are not always easy to answer. Tom and Drew were able to impart the club's vision and leadership purpose with clarity and simplicity. Everyone at the club, no matter their role, knows their goals in making the Swans a great club that extends beyond the sporting field and into the community. They have also placed a strong emphasis on diversity, equity, inclusion, and belonging. We experienced this firsthand over dinner in the club dining facility. Hosted by Shaun Christie-David, founder and CEO of Plate it Forward, we got to experience how they provide food relief, training, and employment opportunities to marginalized members of the Sydney community. This is an amazing social enterprise! During the evening we had a great chat about some measures of great leadership. One such measure is follow-ship. How many people are willing to follow you? Inspired by the event, I decided to uplift my personal support and joined up to become a paid up Swans member. It’s better as a member! Go the Bloods! A new leadership program co-designed with the Social Impact Hub with input from leaders in the for-purpose sector, to address the need for dedicated capacity building among CEOs and senior leaders. We are thrilled to announce that 15 of our existing partners have joined the program, with two senior members from each organisation participating. Lead the Way is designed to inspire, equip, and connect our partners in Canberra and Sydney. It offers an immersive and practical experience aimed at developing leadership skills, fostering connections, and amplifying the impact of their organisations. Lead the Way opened with a retreat at Wildbark at Mulligans Flat Sanctuary, perfect for reflection, strategic planning, and building strong bonds. We loved seeing the enthusiasm and openness of our participants as they got to know each other, laying a strong foundation of trust and collaboration, essential for elevating their leadership capabilities.
