Minister for the NDIS. Minister for Government Services. Member for Maribyrnong. at Australian Government
I gave an important update to parliament about the NDIS. Thanks to our reforms: - Community participation is up. - More parents and carers are able to get paid employment. - The number of people joining the Scheme has stabilised from 15% to 8% - The growth of Scheme outlays has stabilised from 23% to 18%. - We’re catching the crooks, with 519 investigations, 50 people before the courts and over a billion dollars in payments investigated. Under Labor - the NDIS is here to stay.

The Hawkesbury Disability Network hosted a fantastic event today at the Shine Shed Vineyard which is the play centre for all abilities. This place definitely needs to be checked out. At the event, Georgia Holloway from ORS Group delved into neurodiverse advocacy and neuro-affirming languages, offering valuable education and guidance for supporting neurodiverse individuals. The insights shared were truly impactful and well-received by all attendees. It is truly inspiring to be part of conversations like these that promote mental health awareness and mutual support. Connecting with passionate professionals, sharing ideas, and expanding knowledge in the NDIS space was a pleasure.
