Pomerol #TeamRetreat to ✈️ Nashville, TN. 🎶 While we've always loved being a remote-first workplace, the in person connections made during our retreats are priceless. We all managed to put up an OOO for a few days and really focus on serving each other. On the Monday night, a rooftop welcome reception overlong the city, followed by an eclectic food court style dinner was just what we needed to reconnect with colleagues, and meet new ones. Most notably, Cezário Abrantes (Brazil) and Victor Antonio Gómez Jiménez (Costa Rica) made the international voyage. They also had the opportunity to stay at our Chicago based HQ, and visit our Kansas City hub. Tuesday we spent the morning reviewing our business strategy and Q3 updates, followed by an intentional, thought leadership conversation around the future of BI. We ended the meeting with a think tank session over gyros, brainstorming on how we can best serve our community using our unique skills. Then we shook off the business, put on our country boots (metaphorically speaking) and hit Broadway. An urban hike with sounds of "chicken fried" playing in the streets, museum, arcade and bowling filled the afternoon. The night ended with a bang at a local honky tonk restaurant and music venue. It's not what we did, but the conversations and connections we made that truly made this retreat great. Human relationships are what continue to drive us forward, and our team members are the heart beat behind what we do for our clients. This morning, I enjoyed participating in an MAIT (Master in Analytics, Innovation, and Technology) class at INCAE Business School to discuss what Analytical Architecture represents and how it can help business productivity. Many thanks to Professor Roy Zúniga for the invitation and to all the students who actively participated in the talk. We can always resolve data, data warehouses, and analytics doubts.
