Of course, sometimes we might need them to dial it down a bit so that the rest of us can keep up but they are great to have around. We have had the privilege of learning lots about good wellbeing and strengths practice from the wonderful Dr. Michelle McQuaid (MAPP) and her team of positive psychologists. We use VIA Character Strengths as a core tool in our performance and development coaching process “EngageMentality” and recommend doing the free VIA Character Strengths survey to anyone. The strength of humility is something that can often be misunderstood as putting yourself behind or below others. It isn’t about that - it is about having a grounded perspective on your own abilities and achievements and those of others and being conscious of ensuring balance in relationships eg that you let others have their say and listen to what they have to say, that, as a leader, you are truly consultative and not dictatorial and that you give credit where it is due rather than claiming it for yourself. https://lnkd.in/ggGT42Pq #poswork #flourishbydesign #strengths #humility
