What a fantastic day 1 of the Risk Dynamics 360: Appetite Conference in Malaysia. Some insightful presentations and panel discussions on risk appetite and the importance of integrating risk management into decision making. Great to hear from Rinske Geerlings (MBCI COBIT ISO22301 ISO31000), Lee Dennis, David Harper, Umair Bin Ahmed, Ranuk Mendis, Eddy Yap, PhD, FCCA, CIA. Also a huge thanks to Louise Wong for putting together an great conference. It was great to introduce delegates to skefto's new SkefTie our version of the risk bow tie and also talk about moderising risk appetite statements by linking to strategic objectives and moving away from risk category based statements. Great to see and feel the energy in the room. For those of you that know my presentation style, yes there was music and some "high-fives". For those that haven't seen me present - it is always fun, interactive and follows the principles of the Power To Train 2.0. The SkefTie gives you a view of your risk landscape within 3 clicks. Quickly view your risk events, causes and consequences and your existing controls. this is great tool to identify your control gaps within 3 clicks. It can be used by your risk team, Risk Owners and even the Board to provide better oversight of risks within your organisation. It's now time to educate your Boards and Executives on how to use risk appetite statements to improve your decision making and look at using data to inform decisions. If you'd like to learn more about how you can achieve this or about our new SkefTie, please reach out to me. #risk, #riskmanagement, #resilience, #organizationalresilience, #riskappetite
