WILEY ENTERS GROUNDBREAKING PROJECT FOR JBS DINMORE IN THE AIB PROFESSIONAL EXCELLENCE IN BUILDING AWARDS   JBS Australia Pty Limited, the country’s largest beef processor, are maximising the benefits of their investment in their Dinmore plant, recruiting 500 more people to operate the upgraded facility delivered by Wiley.   This $77 million upgrade project provides JBS with:   ✅    a fully automated marshalling system which conveys, sorts and stacks beef sides into meat grades for processing, improving safety and productivity,   ✅   expanded plant chiller capacity and improved configuration to handle higher processing volumes,   ✅   a state-of-the-art trim facility enabling JBS to deliver premium product with improved consistency, reliability and food safety.   Wiley were engaged to deliver the complex design and construct project which involved the integration of construction works, equipment manufacture, installation and the development of operational system technology into the Dinmore abattoir plant.   The project was delivered over a 23-month period, coinciding with the COVID-19 pandemic, labour and material shortages, supplier volatility and the 2022 Brisbane floods.    Senior Project Director Graham Harvey explains how Wiley overcame these challenges:  “Through innovative approaches in design, engineering, materials and processes in the development of the system, the project was completed successfully on time and to budget”.   The upgrades to the facility enable JBS to implement a ‘second shift’ in the first half of 2024 and employ an additional 500 people.   Wiley Managing Director, Suzie Wiley said, “We are privileged to have a long-standing relationship with JBS. At Wiley, we are proud to have successfully pioneered and delivered a system that provides significant enhancements to the JBS operations and provides employment and economic opportunities for the local community”.   We forward to continuing to work with and grow our relationships with key subcontractors and suppliers integral to this project including: Davey Group CE Group Inc.
