  • I've spent the last few weeks testing AI tools for use in product management. It's mind-blowing how quickly this field is evolving! Here's a thought that's been rattling around my brain: Are we at risk of over-relying on AI for product decisions? Don't get me wrong - I'm all for data-driven approaches. But there's an art to balancing AI insights with good old-fashioned product intuition. I've implemented Microsoft Clarity in the hopes the AI would make our decision-making much easier. The results were... interesting: On one hand, it uncovered user behaviour patterns we'd never have spotted manually. But, much like all models, it is a really, really big tool for summarising lots of data. It's not a bad thing but definitely not the holy grail for product analysis. AI is a powerful tool in our product management arsenal, but it's not infallible. The real magic happens when we combine: - AI-driven insights - Traditional analytics - User feedback - Team expertise - And a dash of that product manager intuition we've honed over years I'm very interested to see where this technology is heading and how I can utilise it to dramatically improve the speed, accuracy, and throughput of work in product management. Curious to hear your thoughts! How are you balancing AI-powered analytics with other decision-making factors in your product org? Any horror stories or unexpected wins? #ProductManagement #AIAnalytics #DataDrivenDecisions #OpenToWork

  • Product-Market Fit: elusive myth or moving target? 🎯 I've been focusing on product-market-fit for a while. The theory is a lot different to reality. Things you need to think about that I haven't yet read in a book (and I've read a LOT of product books). - Categories blur - Audiences evolve - Problems shift - Personas oversimplify It's less about 'achieving' PMF and more about constantly adapting and recalibrating to deliver value to the business and customers. Anyone else wrestling with this? What's your PMF philosophy? #ProductManagement #StartupLife #PMF

  • Product-Led Growth: The New North Star? 🤔 I've been diving deep into product-led growth strategies lately, and I'm seeing a seismic shift in how B2B SaaS companies approach user acquisition and retention. It's not just about features anymore – it's about creating a product experience that sells itself. Three key observations: - Freemium isn't just for Spotify anymore - More B2B tools are offering robust free tiers. It's a bold move, but when done right, it's paying off big time. - Onboarding is the new sales pitch - First impressions matter. A smooth, value-focused onboarding flow can turn curious users into paying customers faster than any sales call. - Data-driven product decisions are non-negotiable - We can't rely on gut feelings. User behaviour data is the compass guiding product evolution in successful PLG companies. What's your take? Have you implemented PLG strategies in your product? Any surprising outcomes? • Been wrestling with how to approach direct competitors lately. It's easy to fall into the "us vs. them" mindset, but I've been wondering... are we missing out on valuable insights by viewing competition so narrowly? Here are some unconventional approaches to competitive analysis that could help reshape your product strategy. Swipe through for 5 ways we're turning competitive pressure into product innovation. 👉 Would love to hear your thoughts - especially if you've found unexpected value in studying your competitors. • I've been using a bunch of different AI tools recently. Can't help but feel excited and a tad overwhelmed by the possibilities (and challenges) ahead! AI is an amazing tool for data analysis, no doubt. The patterns it can uncover are mind-blowing! BUT (and it's a big but), AI can't replace human intuition and experience. My thoughts: - Use AI to crunch numbers and spot trends - Rely on your product sense to interpret those trends - Never underestimate the power of a good old-fashioned collab session with your team Curious, how are you balancing AI and human expertise in your roadmapping process? Any horror stories or unexpected wins to share? #AIinProductManagement #RoadmappingStrategy #B2BSaaS #HumansVsAI

  • You know what's kind of ironic about product discovery? The more structured we try to make it, the more likely we are to miss those unexpected insights that actually matter. Teams with perfectly mapped discovery frameworks sometimes get so caught up in their process that they miss what users are actually telling them. (Guilty of this myself more times than I'd like to admit...) The teams that seem to be getting it right? They're treating discovery more like a conversation and less like a scientific method. Still rigorous, sure, but with room for those "wait, what did they just say?" moments. How structured is your discovery process? And has anyone else noticed that sometimes less structure leads to better insights?
