This week the Naremburn community attended the opening of the much anticipated public domain upgrade - Naremburn Local Centre Project we delivered for Willoughby City Council. The shared space surrounded by local businesses has been transformed with a new paved area for leasing and outdoor dining, landscaping, and a brick and concrete retaining wall featuring greenery and shaded seating by a metal structure. The upgrades also include a new concrete pad with a bike station, power for community events, redesigned disabled parking, a paved median island near the crossing for increased pedestrian safety, and a new cycleway on Quiamong Street. 🚲🌳🚗 #QMCgroup #civilconstruction #improvinginfrastructure #improvingcommunities #NarenburnStreetscape #WilloughbyCouncil

QMC has recently commenced Bronte Ocean Pool remediation works for Waverley Council and have already achieved a massive milestone in the project. 👍 Last Saturday, we gathered multiple crews and managers across the company to take advantage of the pristine conditions to remove all of the existing pebblecrete render from the pool base. The remediation works involve working against the tides to remove of the existing pebblecrete layer, completing concrete repairs and applying a honed finish to the concrete pool. The race is now on to get this pool back into shape for Summer! ☀️ #QMCgroup #civilconstruction #sydneyconstruction #bronteoceanpool #waverleycouncil #remediationworks #improvinginfrastructure #improvingcommunities

Well done to all staff and teams on a successful five day reaccreditation audit of QMC’s Integrated Management System, certifying our compliance with the International Standards for Safety, Environmental and Quality. Audits were performed at QMC’s Head Office at Bella Vista, satellite offices at Ultimo and St Peter’s, the logistics team and depot based at Seven Hills, as well as our construction sites. The result being no major non-conformances and no minor non-conformances, with positive feedback on QMC’s sustainability and circular economy practices and initiatives. Special thank you also to the audit team from Global Compliance Certification (GCC). The audit format was thorough and the constructive recommendations will help drive our efforts for continuous improvement.

We are thrilled to announce the completion of the Notts Avenue Boardwalk Remediation Works for our long-standing client Waverley Council. The Notts Avenue Boardwalk at Bondi Beach was severely damaged by large swells in March 2022 and has since remained closed. The remediation works consisted of 28 new concrete piles, a hardwood timber boardwalk and stainless-steel balustrades. 🌊 The boardwalk acts a crucial link to the Bondi to Bronte Coastal Walk and the local community are excited for its reopening. ☀️🏃🏽♂️
