How to grow as engineers… This and much more was learned last week in Sydney at the Women in Engineering Summit organised by Quest Events 👉https://lnkd.in/gzGBEahr Around 170 likeminded women working across came together from all over to Australia last week for the three-day conference. It was a fantastic opportunity to learn from two masterclasses, to connect and listen to project case studies and experiences of women succeeding in their career and paving the way for the future generations. After the event, many of us agreed that the Summit was a safe place to share our stories and experiences - and that’s why the conversations were so very rich and helpful. I cannot thank Downer Utilities enough for sponsoring the event and trusting us as delegates. I am always proud to represent a company that believes in diversity, inclusion and wanting to do better. My key takeaways were: ✅The difference between equality of opportunity vs outcome ✅There is no diversity without inclusion ✅Diversity economically makes sense 🏅Bonus: You don’t always need to be sure about what you want to do (isn’t that a relief?) One of my personal highlights was to reconnect with Felicity Furey who I met during my time volunteering at Project Management Institute in QLD. Here are some pictures with my colleagues from Downer – AKA our Delegates commission: Abir Kassoua Cristina Benito Martin Jessica O'Hare Sylvia Iskander Many thanks for believing on us and the ongoing support Sarah Jarrett (Kiely) Neal Firth Eoin Grennan Luke Sullivan James Ashton Vedran (Dan) Popovic #WomenInEngineering #TheDownerDifference #EmpowHER #WomenNetwork #WomenEmpoweringWomen #DiversityAndInclusion
