It’s no secret that it has been a challenging few years for our South Australian hospitality folk. This time last year, to support our local hospitality businesses, we launched dining deals as part of our RAA Rewards program to help members save at their favourite restaurant and encourage them to support venues in person. Over the past 12-months, we’ve helped South Aussies save almost half a million dollars when eating out, while generating more than $2 million in revenue for hospitability businesses. The program has also helped bring new customers through the door, with 77% of bookings from first-time visitors to restaurant partners. Our program continues to expand, with now 100 offers available at 80 restaurants across 5 regions. We’re excited to continue building our dining program, particularly in regional areas to encourage visitors within our regions. A huge shout-out to Dougal McFuzzlebutt, our Business Development Dining Category extraordinaire, for your expertise from your years of working in the hospitality industry. You have formed incredible connections with our partners, nurturing them in each step of the way. Did you know, more than one third of SA households struggled to put food on the table in the past year? Foodbank’s latest Hunger Report, shows 272,543 South Australian households experienced food insecurity in the past year. This means households at the very least reduce the quality, variety or desirability of their food and, at worst, have their eating patterns disrupted due to financial pressures. Our ongoing community partnership with Foodbank SA & NT is helping tackle food poverty across the state – and today some of our RAA superstars helped volunteer at their warehouse in Edwardstown. They helped pack 10 pallets (320 hampers!) to help provide food relief to South Australians. Amanda Hudson, Catherine Le Cornu, Dan Benton, Dougal McFuzzlebutt, Emma Henderson, Paola Marchetti and Simon Halford Great work, team! We’re so proud 💜 See a full list of our community partners here: https://bit.ly/3XQHfTl Emily Perry, Grace Jennings, Emma Miller #Foodbank #SouthAustralia #CommunityPartnership

After 17 years, our former President and Chair Peter Siebels has announced his retirement from the RAA Board. A tireless advocate for our 830,000+ members, Peter led RAA through periods of growth and transformational change – always focussed on delivering the best products and services for RAA members. The Board has appointed Christine Zeitz, an experienced senior executive and Director with significant experience across a number of sectors, to fill the casual vacancy created by Peter’s retirement. Christine will serve the remainder of Peter’s Director term and will be eligible for election by member vote at the 2026 Annual General Meeting. “On behalf of the Board, I’d like to thank Peter for his significant contribution to RAA, and welcome Christine at such a pivotal time for our organisation,” said Kathy Gramp, current RAA Chair and President. Did you know we have a Sustainability team at RAA? They may be small but they sure are mighty – particularly where passion is concerned! Last week, the team started a Choose To Reuse campaign amongst our whole workforce, encouraging our people to use reusable cups for their morning coffees. Lead by a fun competition, the campaign aims to educate our staff on the small acts that can make a big difference! Thanks to Plastic Free SA for guiding us on this campaign, and to the amazing Grace Jennings, Lisa Hall, Leila Thomas and Mia Rudd in the team for leading the charge. We’re so excited to see this campaign continue for the coming weeks, and to see behaviour change for the good. Let’s all help create a more sustainable South Australia into the future 💛 #SouthAustralia #Sustainability #PlasticFree Emily Perry, Dorothy Nycz, Sasha Oelsner, Tom Aldahn, Karl Larsen, Michael Lockheart, Harry Mead, Ellen Morgan, Emily Iannella (nee Bubnowski)

Ahead of the AFL Men’s footy season soon to kick off, we’ve extended our partnerships with both Port Adelaide FC and Adelaide Football Club, and their AFLW teams, for another five years. Over the years, we’ve seen our partnerships with both teams deliver so much value back to our members through ticket discounts and special offers, in addition to unique money-can’t-buy opportunities like our annual member round events, spots in the guard of honour, tossing the coin to kick off the game and so much more. Last year alone, our partnerships delivered almost $300,000 combined value to RAA members across the AFL and AFLW seasons. Thank you to Matthew Richardson and Tim Silvers and their teams (and players!) for this opportunity to partner once again – bring on the 2025 footy season! Shout-out to our Brand and Sponsorships team Rosa Johnston, Tim Mason Aird, Emily Iannella (nee Bubnowski), Kiara Buccella, for your ongoing work behind-the-scenes of these partnerships. We’re so proud to continue our commitment to our South Aussie community. Nick Reade, Michael Healy #SouthAustralia #AFL #AFLW
