🌱 Inspiration in Action: Cathy's Story. 15 years ago, BRUC student Cathy Jones was a single mum living in public housing with two young children. Determined to change her life, she returned to study, earning her way into a Law/Commerce degree. Despite life’s challenges—including her daughter’s epilepsy and autism diagnoses—Cathy persisted, graduating with a double degree in 2019. Her experiences led her into NDIS plan management, where she realised the impact she could have in the disability community. Motivated, she pursued a Master’s in Disability Practice and, in 2021, launched Red Gum Disability Support Services. Today, her business is thriving, bringing invaluable support to people navigating NDIS processes. Her journey shows the power of resilience, education, and determination. Great job Cathy.
