🗞 Making headlines | The West Australian Business journalist, Cheyanne Enciso, has today published news of a freshly sealed agreement between REX Ortho Pty Ltd and the AO Foundation, which will put Australia on the map for orthopedic surgical device innovation and commercialisation. ➖ Collaboration and Funding Agreement | AO Foundation ➖ We are pleased to share an exciting development with our supporters today. REX Ortho Pty Ltd has secured a pivotal collaboration and funding agreement with the world’s leading orthopedic surgeon network – the AO Foundation in Switzerland. The Agreement will provide multi-year funding to develop a new spinal screw, using REX Ortho’s innovative removable and expandable screw technology, initially applied in hip fractures with the F-REX screw. As part of the collaboration, the team will gain access to leading surgeons and experts to guide the development, manufacturing, and regulatory clearance of the new screw for use in spinal fusion and spinal fracture fixation procedures. The end goal will be to produce a market-ready S-REX spine screw for the US$1B global pedicle screw market. REX Ortho Executive Chairman, Ian Brown, said:   “The F-REX hip screw delivers what surgeons have asked for – improved fixation, stability, and removability all in one fixation screw.
