Meet Sophie and Tim - our two new engineering apprentices 👋 Sophie has a longstanding interest in mechanics and engineering, and came across aircraft engineering through skydiving . She chose to apply for an apprenticeship with us because she understands how vital the RFDS is for the Western Australian community. Tim has been working in our RFDS WA Stores team and knows the ins and outs of the service. We are so excited to see him develop throughout the apprenticeship. We are thrilled to have them join the engineering team! ❤️💙

Full circle for Harrison ⭕ Harrison was a student at Kent Street High School when he came to the RFDS WA for work experience last year. Fast forward ⏭️ to 2025, Harrison has just started working for the RFDS WA as a stores person, with aspirations of moving into the engineering team. Harrison's passion for the RFDS began well before his work experience. In 2019, the RFDS WA received a donation from a very generous year seven boy. Instead of asking his parents for presents for his birthday, Harrison wanted money to donate to the RFDS. Welcome to the team, Harrison! We are thrilled to have you back.
