Meet the Rothelowman Collective | Hannah Hannah is curious and considered in her approach to design and draws inspiration from the diverse cultures she has encountered during her time spent overseas. She believes interior design should not only meet the needs of occupants but should also inspire them. "I always find myself in awe of the ways different materials can tell a story. This ball and marble arch [pictured], grown and formed within the ground, is a beautiful natural stone and wonderfully unique from any other marble slab." Last week, in collaboration with Cushman & Wakefield and Urbis, Rothelowman’s Nigel Hobart moderated a dynamic forum exploring the latest insights and trends shaping Melbourne's Build-to-Sell Development Site market. In this ever-evolving climate, Rothelowman's Jonothan Cowle shared insights into The Beautiful Plan framework. The Beautiful Plan captures all aspects of the architectural practice, embracing a generous eye for life to enhance functionality and prioritise the viability of a project at all stages of its life cycle. It was also fantastic to hear Hamish Burgess Burgess's take on the pivotal themes driving transaction trends, particularly how Stamp Duty concessions are shaping the market and marking a significant turning point. Additionally, Rebecca Lyons, provided key updates on Melbourne's evolving Activity Centres, highlighting the connection between recent announcements and future planning strategies. A big thank you to everyone who attended and contributed to the discussion. To succeed in this rapidly evolving market, it’s essential that we understand and proactively respond. This requires collaboration and for all of us to come forward with innovative solutions that ensure we stay ahead of the curve. #Rothelowman #GenerousEyeForLife #TheBeautifulPlan #Melbourne

160 Macquarie Street is St Lucia's first riverfront development in over a decade. It has been designed to thoughtfully respond to the suburb's rich heritage and urban context, rising 14 levels above the banks of the Brisbane River. It was great to see the record sale of one of 160 Macquarie's sub-penthouses featured in The Urban Developer recently, shining a light on the desirability of Brisbane's subtropical lifestyle and the increasing demand for premium apartment projects in the Queensland capital. The project amplifies Rothelowman's extensive portfolio of luxury residential apartments throughout Brisbane, and we look forward to seeing the ways it positively contributes to the urban and social fabric of St Lucia. From greater sustainability to reduced construction time and enhanced quality control, modular and prefabricated construction methods offer significant benefits to Australia's construction industry and present viable solutions to strengthen housing supply. It was great to see Rothelowman Principal Chris Hayton contribute to the growing conversation surrounding prefab and its influence on design. Speaking to Architecture & Design (Australia) recently, he highlighted the opportunities such construction methods present and the barriers to their adoption. "Investment in skilled labour and large-scale manufacturing will not materialise until the industry can seamlessly integrate prefabrication into its everyday practices. Designers, too, must shift their mindset; employing prefabrication merely to achieve conventional outcomes is a missed opportunity." To read the full article, follow the link below. Rothelowman Principal Ben Pomroy recently sat down with Architecture & Design (Australia) to discuss the evolution of our Sydney studio and how we, as an industry, can work towards overcoming the nation’s housing crisis. He shares, “Assisting public and private clients in delivering housing will be a key part of our focus.
