The Pressure of Homeownership: Is Stamp Duty Reform the Answer? Victorian Premier, Jacinta Allan, recently slashed stamp duty for off-the-plan homes, providing much-needed relief for buyers and boosting supply. But in NSW, the high cost of stamp duty is driving some buyers to take risks, with non-compliance on the rise. In my latest article, I explore the impact of Victoria’s bold move and what NSW can learn from it. Could a similar reform here ease financial pressure and create a more affordable housing market? Last Friday, our team had the privilege of hosting a mental health workshop led by the amazing Stella Kappatos from Meraki Wellbeing. 🌱 We learned invaluable tools for recognising the signs of mental health struggles and how to approach important conversations with empathy and care. Beyond the session, we took some time to reflect on what we learned, and it was inspiring to hear our team's biggest takeaways. From understanding how to support colleagues through tough times to the importance of creating a safe, open environment, everyone had something meaningful to share. Thank you, Stella, for guiding us through these crucial topics and for helping us build a workplace culture where mental well-being is always a priority and asking, "Are you okay?" is part of who we are.
