Last week we had a look at some of the lesser-known factors that make the RYCO range of one-piece fittings excel.  Today we want to focus on just one of features - the series identification grooves. Each RYCO one-piece fitting has a number of grooves prominently etched onto the ferrule, making each family of fittings easily distinguishable from each other.  So, if the worst should happen, and your carefully arranged and labelled fitting storage bins get knocked over, it's easy to ensure that the spiral hose fittings don't end up mixed in with the wire braid fittings, by simply counting the grooves on the ferrule. The ongoing climate crisis is something that affects all of us, and RYCO is fully committed to ensuring that we do our best to promote environmental responsibility and sustainability in all of our operational activities. Our manufacturing operations are one of the main areas where we are always looking for ways to improve, so we are proud to be able to announce that our manufacturing plant in Poland was recently audited for compliance with ISO 14001 and passed with zero non-conformities. ISO 14001 is the globally recognised standard for the implementation of best practices in minimising the environmental footprint of an organization, and the adoption of an effective environmental management system (EMS). In the final post for our focus on RYCO's hose cover compounds, we've gone back to our roots to find out more about one of our longest serving cover compounds, ENERGY.
