Brilliant initiative from Rahul L., Chair of the The SABSA Institute APAC Liaison Group. He's piloting a study group for folks who have attended a SABSA Practitioner course (A1 or A3) and are working on completing their examination projects. Rahul is a great person to be leading this as he's a strong architect and coach 🤠
Subject: SABSA Practitioner Study Group If you have completed the “SABSA Chartered Security Architect – Practitioner Certificate (SCP)” training for Architecture and Risk but haven’t yet submitted your paper, the SABSA Institute APAC Liaison Group is forming a study group to help you succeed. We will begin with an online session featuring paper writing guidance from a SABSA Master (Robert Laurie https://lnkd.in/gsaiSv4w), followed by regular meetings attended by guest practitioners and masters to offer continued support and motivation to complete your paper. Please note that we will not be discussing specific exam questions. The purpose of this group is to encourage and support each other throughout the submission process. The group will meet via Microsoft Teams after hours in a time zone aligned to APAC, and we have a Discord channel available for ongoing discussions. This group is intended for those who have completed the A1 and A3 training; we will not be teaching course content or concepts; all are free to attend though. The attendee size will be kept to a maximum of 15 to start out so as to maximise value. Some sessions that include presentations will be recorded so it can be a reusable resource for the broader community, most other discussion-based sessions will be held under Chatham Rules. If you’re interested in joining, please comment here, message me on LinkedIn, or contact me at rahul.lobo@sabsainstitute.org to be included in the initial meeting and receive a Discord invite. We are also working on setting up an Eventbrite for future sessions. In the meanwhile, also like this page for further announcements from the SABSA Institute APAC Liaison Group SABSA practitioners who would like to attend and guide the group please contact me. I’m sure this would count towards CPEs and we are happy to provide you with attendance evidence to support. #SABSA #Practitioner

Congratulations to Rahul L. on taking on the role of Chair for The SABSA Institute APAC Liaison Group 🎉 Rahul is well-known in the Aussie security architecture community. He continues the work of past APAC LG Chairs Kirk Nicholls and Bruce Large CPEng RPEQ and both are keen supporters of his vision 🤠
I’m happy to share that I’m starting a volunteer position as APAC Liaison Group Chair at The SABSA Institute! I am very passionate about the SABSA framework and methods and its importance in helping us solve the hard cybersecurity problems. The SABSA Institute Liaison Group’s (Group) mission is to support and advise the Board of the SABSA Institute (Board) as well as to act as liaisons to the Board and advocates on behalf of the members to The SABSA Institute. Some of the key things I will be focusing on are increasing Liaison Group representation across the APAC region and establishing an study group for aspiring SABSA Practitioner paper submissions.
