MAKING HEADLINES Oran Park Leisure Centre opened on the 21st of October and is already attracting huge crowds. We were responsible for the 36m single span dual timber Glulam beams over the main pool and the 18m single span dual Glulam beams over the leisure pool. Our expert team tirelessly and meticulously worked on the installation within budget and time frame. The Oran Park Leisure Centre has been a huge success, it even made the headline news. PROJECT COMMENCEMENT The same team which completed the University of Newcastle, Q Building Project is reforming for the all new University of Newcastle, Gosford campus, with works set to commence next week. This is a true testament of the great work achieved at the first project and we are certain that we are all destined for another great result. Our scope includes Mass Timber Installation including CLT floors, Glulam columns, beams and braces, as well as all associated connections and supports. The new facility is a 6 Star, Green Star designed building with 3 levels of educational teaching facilities and office spaces with a total of approximately 4,500m2 floor area, as well as car parking on the ground floor. University of Newcastle Vice-Chancellor Professor Alex Zelinsky AO said: “Our new Central Coast campus will be a state-of-the-art education and training facility that will help close skills gaps, increase educational participation rates, and generate new jobs for people living on the Central Coast.” The Central Coast Campus will be built on the former Mitre 10 building site at 305 Mann Street on land provided by NSW Government’s Hunter and Central Coast Development Corporation. Our team from Sydney and Tasmania has arrived in Melbourne to begin work on the West Gate Tunnel Project. We are heading south to Melbourne, advancing to the next stage of the project. Matthew is an experienced structural design engineer who has dedicated his career to realising Mass Timber projects across Australia and Europe. Over the past 10 years, Matthew has contributed to key projects like the New Sydney Fish Markets and AMRF, a Savcon led and delivered project. Matthew is passionate about integrating Structural Design with suppliers and consultants, as well as working on project constraints for a more holistic and expert approach to problem-solving.
