It was an evening filled with excitement, showcasing limited edition timepieces and an impressive crowd that got to try on select pieces from this incredible brand. We are so proud to have contributed to the event, delivering food and beverage that matched the sophistication of this momentous occasion. We extend our congratulations to Head Chef of Production & Scott Pickett Events, Dylan Smith who made it through to the regional finals of The Sanpellegrino Aus 2024 Young Chef Academy Competition. The competition supports rising stars and it was a fantastic gala full of energy, intensity and passion and we are very proud of Dylan for making it as far as he did.

The Matilda team is looking forward to welcoming Imogen Dillon from Ten Minutes By Tractor on Thursday 17th October for an exquisite wine dinner in our private dining room. Guests will indulge in a four-course meal featuring lamb rump, oyster mushrooms, black garlic and Bordelaise sauce paired with single vineyard wines including the famed Judd Pinot Noir. Each course has been designed to enhance the flavours and ingredients of each varietal for a promising night of flavour over fire and coals. The trio created an incredible wave of gastronomic momentum together with the name of the dining event aptly named ‘6 Hands’ showcasing their skills and passion for the occasion. On Monday night, The Continental Sorrento was featured on Channel Nine's The Block, allowing us to present our precinct on a national scale. We were delighted to offer a memorable night away for the week four winners, Courtney & Grant, along with Block host Scotty Cam, Block Allstars Alisa and Lysandra, and the production team. Everyone involved was warm, friendly, and a pleasure to work with. Scott Pickett, a fellow Channel 9 media personality and our esteemed chef, prepared a delicious tasting menu at Audrey’s that received glowing praise on air. A big thank you to The Block team for including us in this season and giving us the chance to showcase our precinct.

On Monday Evening in Smith St Bistrot's 'La Vie En Rose', the French Embassy in Australia recognised the outstanding commitment to French culture and gastronomy to six deserving recipients including Scott Pickett, Phillippe Mouchel, Gabriel Gaté, Christian Maier, Pierrick Boyer and Alex McIntosh. It was an exciting and moving event and the team were honoured to host it. Congratulations to all who were awarded Knight and Officer of the French Agricultural Merit.
