What a fantastic night! Last Friday, we celebrated 100 years since Shadforth was founded in Hobart in 1924. We hosted over 110 clients, referral partners, and dignitaries for a delicious dinner at Frogmore Creek.    The evening was filled with the best of Tasmanian produce, delicious wines and a string orchestra. It was a wonderful opportunity to reflect on our journey and express our gratitude to everyone who has been a part of it.   Thank you to all who joined us in making this milestone unforgettable! Recent research from MLC Australia and McCrindle reveals a concerning statistic: only one-third of Australians are taking steps to turn their money dreams into reality. While many of us aspire to financial independence, luxury holidays or an early retirement, 41% of Australians still worry about their financial situation. What’s holding us back? Last Friday night we hosted 120 clients at an exclusive after hours viewing of the Archibald, Wynne and Sulman exhibition at The Art Gallery of NSW.   Over its 102 year history ' The Archie' has established a reputation as Australia’s favourite and controversial art award. Its one of the highlights of our Sydney event calendar.   Like the investments we recommend, the artworks must meet a strict criterion including: they must be a painting (in any medium), they must be a portrait painted from life with at least one live sitting with the artist, and must not exceed a maximum height of 3m.   A wonderful way to catch up with clients and thank them for their continued support.    #Archibald2024 #AdviceforLife #Shadforth

Many of us are eagerly awaiting the start of the Paris Olympics tomorrow.   Past performance suggests the leaderboard is usually dominated by a select few nations including the USA, China, Great Britain and Russia. Australia has also consistently outperformed, placing in the top 10 in all summer games in the past two decades. Interestingly, while these nations’ athletic prowess is predictable, global equity markets are a different story.
