About us

As the Systems Innovation Hub for Australia and New Zealand (Si AuNZ), we serve as the central point for all things related to systems innovation in our region. Si Hubs are a global network of local spaces dedicated to learning about and practicing systems innovation. As the local chapter for Australia and New Zealand, we see ourselves as an open, collaborative platform for exploring and applying new ideas and methods of systemic change. We are building on the great work done by the community to take a more TransTasman view, where we can zoom in and out of nuanced needs at either a collective, or more focused level. Help us help you by being part of a community for systems thinkers and innovators – a place where you can come together, learn, teach and problem solve!     Incremental improvements miss the bigger picture 🌐. Real innovation comes from changing the underlying structures of systems—rethinking how we relate to one another, interact, and work together. In this relational worldview, we need a new vocabulary suited for a more dynamic, and adaptive way of thinking. When our traditional language around productivity, efficiency, and hierarchy no longer serves us in a world where collaboration is the key to the success of the whole. Then terms like ecosystems, feedback loops, and systems sensing remind us that everything is interdependent. Therefore, we need words that capture the nuances of collective intelligence, emergent change, and shared purpose. While creating new words might be the aim, let’s begin with some fundamental ones ↓ #systemsterminology

    Hi all. If you use LinkedIn at all, please navigate to your settings and explicitly express your consent under "Use my data for training content creation AI models." An opt-out option is now available. This is enabled by default as what is to me a new dark design pattern. I speak for myself here, not for the company (I assume that should be obvious). But LinkedIn and it's affiliates should not own any piece of writing you craft, portfolio piece you showcase, or unique form of expression you choose to leverage on its platform without your explicit and informed consent. Up until now, they have done so anyway. Step in the right direction though this may be, it is still a half-step, deployed without notice, which normalizes a dangerous schema of consumer consent and bad-faith service provision. EDIT: EU/EEA/Switzerland is not affected at this time (but I encourage you to confirm for yourselves individually).
