We have been busy on another project in New Zealand. This time in Waingawa. We have recently completed underground LV, DC scope ahead of the mechanical team moving in to commence piling. We are grateful for another opportunity to work with the Lightyears Solar team on this project. Looking forward to posting some more progress shots after a well earned Christmas and New Years break.
Our third solar farm is full steam ahead at Waingawa, just out of Carterton. The Waingawa Solar Farm is being built on a portion of an existing 12-hectare rural lifestyle farm and will connect to Powerco’s local network, with the aim to have it generating power in early 2025 for the surrounding district. Contractors Sol Srv - Solar Services are undertaking the build – both what you can see above ground, and the electrical work beneath the surface.

It’s fantastic to see it taking shape so quickly down there with a huge amount of work by the team at Sol Srv - Solar Services. Also completed, 90kWp S-Rack Australia 1P fixed tilt installation on the eastern boundary to maximise ground coverage ratio onsite. Fantastic product 💪 Next update -> project completion

::COMPLETED PROJECT POST:: Recently completed 4MWp install near Griffith in NSW It was a pleasure to work with Smart Commercial Solar on another project installing FTC Solar, Inc 2P Voyager System The mechanical install completed by Sol Srv is just a small part of a very complex off-grid system that was designed by Smart Commercial for this agricultural end user. Keep an eye out for upcoming publications on this exciting project.
