Exploration Geologist job description
We are seeking an Exploration Geologist with 2-5 years’ experience in the Exploration sector to assist with the Sunday Creek project in Kilmore, Victoria.
The role will have a strong focus on exploration activities such as diamond core logging, drilling management and geological modelling.
This is a residential role with applicants needing to be Victorian based to be considered.

Qualifications & Experience
· Bachelor of Science in Geology
· Minimum of 2 years experience in mineral exploration;
· Experience in orogenic gold will be viewed favourable;
· Experience in Victorian geology will be viewed favourable;
· Knowledge of Mining Software (Leapfrog, QGIS) desirable;
· Diamond core logging experience
· Relevant understanding of QAQC procedures, drilling and sampling practices and standard gold industry laboratory analytical methods;
· Strong communication, analytical and problem-solving skills;
· Effective project management, planning and time management skills;
· Strong desire and drive for continuous improvement; and
· Has a current Australian Driver’s Licence (can drive a manual transmission).
Duties of the role:
· Commitment to working safely and the promotion of safe working practices with colleagues and contractors;
· Diamond Core logging;
· Assisting with drill rig supervision where required;
· Assessment of exploration results and make recommendations for further work;
· Generate and interpret targets utilising geological, geochemical and geophysical data;
